Here comes the sun
Doo-d'n doo-doo
Here comes the sun
And I say
It's all right

Little darlin'
It's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darlin'
It feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun (doo-d'n doo-doo)
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Little darlin'
The smiles returning to their faces
Little darlin'
It seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun (doo-d'n doo-doo)
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

Little darlin'
I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darlin'
It seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun (doo-d'n doo-doo)
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Here comes the sun (doo-d'n doo-doo)
Here comes the sun
It's all right
It's all right

Agree absolutely, just thinking along these lines when I read your comment

Ringo was an advanced drummer for this day: Two examples are "All you Need is Love" in 7/4 time, and "Here Comes the Sun" with repeating 11/8, 4/4, and 7/8 passages in the chorus. Then there's the magical talent of George's guitar playing.  {#Drummer}  {#Guitarist}

I remember the drums being the first thing that I really liked about this song
This. Whole. Album. Ten.

I will never leave RP even if Bill plays way too much Beatles!

This is their best album. After the White album I did not listen to or purchase Let It Be or any Beatle related media. But the first note on this record confirmed the magic was still there. And I'm still waiting for the followup!         {#Hearteyes}{#Guitarist}
This should be on automatic rotation for December 21, every year...at least for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere{#Sunny}
Timeless.
What a great song to start my RP session.
Doo-d'n doo-doo-Laughter in the Dark.
More than 40 years since this came out. Man, I am O-L-D.

I be the holy ghost of big stud Romeo Tuma, and I be deliriously serious about this song...  they be hard as diamonds...  hope life is grand for you right this minute, rasimych...

Nope. Heard it once upon a time on RP. Maybe next time.

Now the question is: Will Bill play the whole second side? The only way, really, to listen to it.
Amen!!! It's been a long and cold winter here in central PA! It's not sunny today, but the past few have been, and tomorrow will be. Feels soooo good!!! Better than "alright!"

watched "living in the material world" a few months ago....i miss beatle george.   i miss the beatles.  wished they'd done about 3, 4, 5 more albums before they called it a day.
the older i get the more i like these guys....and i've been saying that for 40+ years now.....
The rating "Godlike" was MADE for this song.

If only it sounded as good here as it does from a good LP... This is analogue at its best.
What a great chaser for Bourbon and Rosewater!!!

The day is off to a very good start.

marvelous...  love this song...  love this whole album...

FYI, I was dating a classical Flautist (flute player) when this came out and she could absolutely clone the flute part, only using a certain Fleshy Appendage not to be mentioned in Polite Company, as it were.  Oh Baby Jeeeeesus!  Yes!

I have no idea what you are talking about, but I am intrigued.

Ringo did a really good job on that track. {#Notworthy}

10 just doesn't do this justice!!  Makes a cold rainy day in the UK one whole lot better
Miss you George.
Amazing how, every time I hear this song, my brain recalls the sights, smells, colors of the basement in the house I grew up in.
You would think that after 40 + years the memories would fade!!

This album will still get frequently listened to long after most of us are gone.....{#Cheers}

Never gets old. I loved it when I was four years old and appreciate it even more now.

I'm sure this song only gets this rating because it's a Beatles song... Come on!

I'm sorry but how does it deserve a 9.1? It's constantly the chorus over and over and over... Definitely a very weak one by a band that did waaaaaaaaaaay better than this....

No, no! It deserves ALL those ratings.  I sing it in shower, the dog howls along, and she rates it a 10 too.  {#Dancingbanana_2}
George's music almost always improves my mood

Have you heard the 'lost guitar solo' for Here Comes the Sun?  Saw this video recently of Dhani Harrison hearing it for the first time. Amazing stuff.

This song is just wonderful and from what I consider to be the gold standard rock medley (for those who don't agree, that's okay, the world is full of beautiful music and there's enough to go around).  In fact, the whole album is my all time #1 favorite, so much so in fact, that every time I hear something from it, I am filled with amazement at just how good it was and remains.  Sadly, each of those "eargasms" tears a tiny hole in my heart, because I know that no matter how much I wish for more from the Beatles, it's all done, that's all we get — sniff.  {#Sunny}

Everybody in my hotel room loves this song...

I can't believe I didn't rate this song earlier! So, okay - 10.  Easily.  I can hear this song and automatically grin, no matter what's going on around me.  George Harrison has always been, and will always be, my favorite Beatle.
