Applied for a new job. This time, I didn't want to lose an opportunity only because they require someone with English skills (!!!) and I've always been a wuss, thinking that I'll have problems, because over the years I've lost the ability to have a fluid conversation in English, with someone, because I didn't "practiced" it that much.

I wrote a direct and sincere letter of application and in 2 hours after I've mailed it with my resume I've received a phone call from someone in UK (a Romanian guy). He asked me a few questions, and said that he'll talk with his team here and decide if they'll call me for an interview.

I have no experience in that field (I told them too), but it seems that my letter of application worked {#Cheesygrin} I hope they'll call and I won't be nervous at the interview.

Good luck!

Paid it forward.

So many people have given me free labor (handyman tasks, website work) over the years when I truly needed help—and I now have the opportunity to write a friend's bio link for his woodworking website. I told him I would only accept a drink at our next Euchre meetup. First draft is done and ready for his review.

Ushered at a matinee of Equus at the performing arts center. They did a good job with a difficult play.

Took the new Instant Pot for a test drive. Pretty good results for my first try.

Yesterday actually, but I took the afternoon off and went Kayaking with the wife and dog. It was warm and sunny, it felt like a last hurrah before the seasons really shift.

Got home. 15 days out, 340 miles under the boat, 11 different harbors, several places we've never been before, a good visit with an RPeep along the way.  Lots of cool things seen and done. Canada customs agents are much cooler than ours.

Back to work tomorrow though.

Very cool, glad you had a safe voyage.

I took Miss Daisy to get some lab work done.

Got a call about my CT Scan and was told there is only one surgeon in town that can remove my tumor...Called for a referral and now I'm awaiting an appointment with the pro from Dover himself.
