So this borders on pissing me off, but considering the FWP nature of the problem I've demoted it.

We made a big crossing into the San Juan Islands this morning. The reports were for a little breeze, but light early, so we cast off early. The swell coming out was bad, but not abnormal for that spot, so we soldiered on. It got a little better, so we pressed on, but it never really got good. At the halfway point, it turned really sour and we got rocked and sprayed pretty severely. At one point after we had been bounced around pretty good, we both went "what's that smell?", it was sort of like wine, but different.... it was definitely alcohol. So Mrs. Islander went to investigate and reported a definite casualty, and definitely tequila. We had 3 bottles in there, two really good ones and one cheap(ish) mixer. One of the good ones was almost empty, but the other was a good ~2/3 full. Averages, Karma, just the way things go sometimes.... and this is what we found when we settled in a bit:

Yeah, it was 2/3 full... Farewell Don, we hardly knew ya.
