Russ - yours has been "in transit" from the DFW post office since the 8th (mailed from Austin on the 4th), so I submitted a search request.  If it's not resolved, I've got another copy ready to go that I'll mail you.

Got it! Looking at the song list and it seems you and I are going to be doing a lot of "preaching to the choir".  We have very similar taste in music. I already know I am going to love it!{#Cheers}

Mary mix has been though the player once already, and a very fine disc it is. You beat me to it on the theme—but you did a better job with it than I would have. And I liked the packaging too.

Nice beat, easy to dance to—I give it a 3/4.

We've been in the midst of our own version of March Madness and for the last two weeks, I've been up to my eyeballs in alligators working on three grants with almost 100 applications (trying to give people money is hard work!).  I've barely had time for lunch most days, much less actually getting out of the building and down to the post office, but we've got a waiting gap (thankfully) until the next bit of madness starts, so I was able to post your discs about 15 minutes ago.  Phew!

Again, apologies, and thank you all for your patience. Post office estimates deliveries to occur by Monday for GA and Tuesday for the rest.

I've been gathering tunes for my March offering for several months now, and am currently re-listening and determining order (some themes seem to have a natural order; this one, not so much, so I'm doing my typical overthinking). It looks like I'm *one* song over, time-wise, as well...so who do I kick to the curb?  The one artist I adore with two offerings or the one a little more out of my wheelhouse? Argh.  And unlike my more gracious club members, I'm a little less concerned with trying to figure out what you all might prefer and, instead, try to give you glimpse into the Mind of Mary, which runs the gamut from "Amazing" to "What the everlovin' f*ck!"  YMMV.

In any case, I hope to have them in the post by the end of next week, which should easily result in an end-of-March delivery.

As you suggested I listened to this with open eyes. I've never been a religious man, most of my life I've been skeptical of organized religion. I guess I could be considered an Atheist if I had to choose up sides. I see wonder in nature and feel awed by it. I understand mortality from personal experiences. So this mix was right in my wheelhouse. There wasn't a tune on it that I didn't enjoy (been thru it 5 times so far and it will probably be in my CD player for awhile). But of course I had my favorites and will touch base on those highlights.

Glad what I was aiming for got thru!
If We Were Vampires - I'm a widower, my girlfriend is a widow. This song speaks to me every time I hear it. We saw it live recently too, tears in the eyes.

Hits me the same way. That part where his voice breaks? Oh man.
Everything Possible - Was I the only one who was hearing the Lumberjack song here?

I think maybe yes.
In the Great Unknown - Mary Fahl hmm, not a name I've heard before. Likey!

She was lead singer for The October Project, a short-lived group from NYC that put out two stellar albums, both worth checking out.
3rd Planet - Thought this was a Cloud Cult song for a bit. They would have fit right in on this mix too.

Not familiar, I'll investigate.
A Glorious Dawn - All I can think of is Sheldon Cooper telling Stephen Hawking what a lovely singing voice he has

I keep wondering if anybody else will notice how much an autotuned Carl Sagan sounds like Kermit the Frog!

First a word on what this disc isn't: a manifesto. I'm not trying to proselytize or provoke, I'm trying to celebrate. Still it's a sensitive topic, with a polarizing word in the title. Eh. I trust my audience.

Getting Ready to Get Down - One of the tunes I was familiar with, though I paid more attention to the lyrics. Good bopper.
The Atheist Christmas Carol - Just a beautiful song. Stunning voice. I think I'll look to add her to my library in the near future.
If We Were Vampires - I'm a widower, my girlfriend is a widow. This song speaks to me every time I hear it. We saw it live recently too, tears in the eyes.
Just Breathe - Like SirD, I'm not a big PJ fan but this is really good tune by them. Perfect fit for your mix. The Into the Wild soundtrack is pretty good too.

One Way to Pray - Another new one that made me perk up
A Glorious Dawn - All I can think of is Sheldon Cooper telling Stephen Hawking what a lovely singing voice he has
In the Light of Day - Perfect, perfect, perfect closing song.

Thank you for a great mix and the professional packaging (as always). You've out done yourself once again. {#Cheers}

1. Nice little poppy tune by Josh Ritter, thing is this doesn't sound like him to me, never would have guess it was him. Anyway snappy tune.

Last time I heard him live I had the same reaction. He went thru some profound life changes and came out a very different musician.

5. Love the percussion in the Luscious Jackson song, percussion was always their strong suit.

The drumming here isn't as athletic as some of their other tunes (Naked Eye in particular) but I've always been impressed with their musicianship.

7. Nice little Irish, I presume, ditty by Roy Bailey.  I am remarking as I listen and this is my favorite tune so far.

Roy's a Brit but he wouldn't object. A throwback agitprop folksinger.

15. Sam Beam is from one of my adopted hometowns of Chapin SC, way to go Sammy!

If you like this I can recommend the collaboration it came from, Love Letter For Fire. I get the feeling Sam dominated the songwriting more than Jesca but the result is intoxicating.

17. You saved the best for last! Never heard of this Darrell Scott fellow but this is a great song and clearly my favorite on the mix!

Darrell Scott is a genius songwriter in his own right but this is taken from an album of Ben Bullington covers he did in 2015, which I recommend very highly. He met Ben at a Nashville songwriters' circle a few years earlier back when he (Ben) was a doctor from White Sulphur Springs, MT checking an item off his bucket list. The two became close friends and played together a good bit before Dr. Ben died of pancreatic cancer in 2013.

If Darrell Scott thinks you're a fine songwriter you are the shiznit, and Ben definitely was. If you liked this he put out four albums in a very few years. I'm surprised you hadn't run into Darrell Scott already, but you are in for a treat. You can't go wrong with his work but a recent favorite is a collaboration with Tim O'Brien, Memories and Moments. Rush right out and buy/download/whatever. Thank me later.

Ironically Dr. Ben was an atheist. Darrell isn't.

Of course you did!  I should have known better than to question your choices (although I listen to this tune fairly regularly myself).

Listening on my 'droid instead of the stereo because apparently this disc simply mocks me (not topically, but otherwise). Not only did I have the postage thing (which, according to my post office, was because it's a parcel and not an envelope and is too stiff to go through their machine), but for some reason it won't play in my stereo CD player (even though the last one you sent did just fine, as well as everyone else's mixtapes). I put it in the disc slot on my PC, and it's fine - shows up as cda extension files.  I have no idea what the problem is, so I'm sticking with "disc mocking."  Harumph.  But I am otherwise digging it, so feel free to ignore my whinging.
