Wow.  Impressive footage.

Oh well, at least the Obama drones helped publicize and democratize drone warfare; smaller, resource poor groups can readily adapt this technology.

Drones may ultimately prove to be more dangerous than tactical nuclear weapons.

parity in war? ha!

well placed grenade on a small drone ...

Kaboom! Russian Drone With Thermite Grenade Blows Up a Billion Dollars of Ukrainian Ammo

A single grenade-carrying drone set off one of the largest explosions in recent memory.

A drone carrying a grenade infiltrated an ammunition dump in Ukraine, setting off an explosion that caused an astounding billion dollars worth of damage. The incident points to the growing use of drones in wartime, particularly off the shelf civilian products harnessed to conduct sabotage and other attacks.

Guerrilla groups, terrorists, and perhaps even governments worldwide have rapidly weaponized consumer drones, effectively turning hobbyist devices into lethal weapons capable of killing.

Good article EXCEPT a few major problems.

The military-industrial complex is not driving these wars.  Resources are.  What resources?

Israeli nation building and the cheap energy entitlement.

The anti-Muslim hysteria helps Israel with the occupation and the on going efforts to establish facts on the ground in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.  The USA also supports Israel's nuclear weapons arsenal.

So much for anti-proliferation efforts.

I gotta wonder if the author  WILLIAM J. ASTORE  believes that wars are fought because of "Us versus them".     No Mr. Astore.  Wars are always fought over resources.  There are no exceptions.

Yes, but money is a resource and the MIC filling their coffers is a part of the equation, just not all of it. There is nothing cut and dry about the quagmire that is the Middle East.

Transparency and accountability fly out the window, again.

Bold opinion:  Somalian civilians have no political value in North America and most of Europe.

Yep and now those veterans are going to return home with those memories and images haunting them for the rest of their lives.  Very sad what we do to our own military and force them to deal with every time they look in the mirror.  I deal with disabled veterans all day long.  They are just hollow people being consumed inside by the crimes against humanity they were forced to commit in the name of freedom.  Instead of getting these people adequate aftercare the military budget is funding more weapons and troops.  Makes me sick.

Mosul Bloodbath: Iraqi Forces Admit to Killing Women and Children

Soldiers' Final Orders in Mosul: Kill Anything That Moves

 Posted onJuly 26, 2017CategoriesNewsTags

The extremely ugly final weeks of the Iraqi “liberation” of Mosul is leading to an aftermath where untold hundreds of corpses remain buried under the rubble of the Old City. The corpses include some ISIS fighters, of course, but also a massive number of civilians.

That’s reflective of what Iraqi soldiers say were their orders in the final days of the battle, kill anything that moves. Iraqi forces eagerly did so, with one noting that they “killed them all, men, women, and children. We killed everyone.
