If: this is a political thread,
And: if lack of reason is displayed.
Then: logic and reason are out.
Deal with that.

honestly the current tax code is a political tool

if you've got the right connection you can get very special treatment (the irs won't point their guns directly at you)

usually some special code in your favor (tax letter)

simplifying code out in the open would destroy a massive bloated government program

tax compliance is big industry

lots of people vested in that too

This tax bill is a debacle.  I’m for a lower corp tax rate, but only not at the expense of a bigger deficit.  So the GOP is “hoping” a lower corp tax will reduce tax inversion, which I read cost us about $12 to $20 billion annually…but the new tax plan costs an average $150 billion annually.  Further the new territorial system creates an incentive for cos. to leave the majority of its profits in Bermuda, Ireland or other areas with rates still below the 20%?  Are we in a race to the bottom for corp tax rates?  And this is primarily paper profits we are chasing.  How much real jobs will results, when the primary motivation to manufacture overseas is labor.

On the individual side, close to 50% of people making less than $100k will see an increase in tax?  And blue states, which pay the majority of fed tax, get screwed without the SALT deduction, though this could be offset by the repeal of AMT.

So how does this fix anything?

this is a political thread so reason and logic are out

entertainment and silly opinion in snappy one-liners are key

actually this was more for his known past acquaintances (exes)

but what if we framed this in a bit of poor taste/bad comedic fashion?

with a thought experiment from step-brothers

we'll sub

2) roy moore

So if they can find real documentation that he was officially banned from the mall for being creepy... this is in the days before there were stalker laws, but it sure sounds like they were written for this guy.

ladies here's your golden opportunity at redemption

so if you've ever been seen with roy in public you can say "he forced me" or better yet "it was during my drinking phase in junior high"

ok i've wasted enough time on roy and i need more coffee

True. It's still kind of hard to believe that clown is the Attorney General of the United States, but then there are stranger truths.
