I totally get the CD player.  Got to have that.  Hope you have a USB jack, too.  That makes flash drives possible.  And that opens things up to a whole new level.

Thanks, Kurt. I'm hoping to get at least 300km. Seeing Honda and Toyota are both practically the same as far as quality is concerned, the CD player did become part of the reason we chose Toyota. I just couldn't see myself having to rip a new CD and then port it to my phone every time before I could listen to it in the car.

There's a USB jack, and it's Bluetooth compatible. And RP's FLAC cache plays quite nicely.

{#Cheers}

Mine has less that 40k my tires dry rot before the treads wear. I think it would be nice to have a newer car, not necessarily new. but where would I get a used car deal better than what I already own.

Last car you'll ever own?

Sat down with a financial planner last year to get ready for hobbitt's retirement (next March). She asked us when we planned to buy a new car. Our response was to merely stare, blankly. I mean, why, right?

Our Bjorn buggies are 14 and 11 years old. The older one has fewer miles (~70k? hobbitt doesn't drive much). Mine has ~94k. They look great, they run great, and I'm cheap...

Yup. Further you go south, the longer a car can last. Especially if you take good care of it. Obviously, you have. {#Cheers}

I love that color. If I can make mine last at least 17 years, I'll be more than happy. {#Cheers}

Haresfur: I hear ya. We've been planning this for over a year. Many a times I was tempted to go used. Or brand new but cheaper (cost and on gas) sedans. But I just couldn't go sedan. I'm tired of hauling myself out of a car, I prefer dropping out of it.

Yeah, buying a car sucks. And probably one of the reasons I usually buy used in a personal sale is that I hate going to car dealers. That and you are risking less, even if the risk is greater. But it looks sweet and I'm sure it will serve you well. Good job.
