Mary, Mary
Come to me
Oh my Mary
Come to me

Oh sweet angel
Where will you be
When that devil comes for me?

Wandering days now
Got to end
Bottle's empty
And money's spent
Oh sweet angel
Where will you be
When that devil, devil comes to me?

My sweet Mary
Oh companion
I had my reasons
I'm still standing

South wind cold now
'round that tree
Oh sweet Mary
hear my plea

...near the end of the work week, Friday at 3pm, and it's the perfect amount of skronkiness for me!  It must have been a little too skronky last time I heard it, I had to bump my rating up one from 8 to 9; and as normal, BillG's pair this track with "Like Humans Do" by David Byrne and it's a great combo!  LLRP!!
Nice that he's keeping that Little Feat groove going.  I too was confused

 No kidding....   I was thinking "I have not heard this LF song before".  This is tasty.
Great music to get over the flu with.

Love Anders Osborne, lots of fantastic tunes
Kinda sounds like Chris Whitley...I'm diggin' it!{#Clap}
Never heard him before and I think I'm in love.......

Totally thought this was a Little Feat offshoot.  Not bad... a little self indungent on the lead guitar toward the end.  :(

Kind of went all Ben Harper on us--

Now that's a funky, slinky, swampy groove; reminds me of Stevie Wonder from the 'Talking Book' and 'Innervisions' days.{#Bananajam}

Nice!!  {#Clap}
{#Eh}
Thought it sounded like hippie-'70s sound. The self-indulgent instrumental confirmed it... Imagine my surprise that it was released in 1999... Oh well, definately  last century... Not bad if you haven't heard 18 too many self-indulgent inetrumentals too many... Enough does become too many.
I can't believe that I've been a RP listener for eight years and haven't heard this before now!
I popped in to see if this was indeed an overlooked gem from Mr. George. It is honest homage assuredly. Very fine.

Lowell George reincarnated!

Interesting. One of the first tracks to be loaded up on RP. . . so it has to be over 10 years old :)

How time flies. . .

Oh, and a solid 9 from me, right out of the box. Hurrah!

Edit: AMG says this was released in 1999.

I thought, hm, is this a long-lost Little Feat song!? But NO! Something new for me to explore! Long live Lowell George!{#Clap}
Lowell George reincarnated!

WOW. what year was this released? it sounds like real rock n roll, so it can't be recent... can it? is there hope?

hitting the Kalamazoo Blues Fest today..great way to get in the mood!!  {#Cool}
A New Orleans favorite, nice to hear Anders this morning!
My list of music to buy just keeps getting longer... Adding this to it - really good schtuff! {#Yes}
what a great song to start the morning off in Southern California, makes the heatwave feel not so bad!
Kinda thought it was something from the new Clapton CD out today.  It's supposed to be blues stuff from what I hear.
But on closer listen, I can hear it's not.  I like it though!

Insta like!!{#Cheers}
Either pretty much everything Bill is playing today is genuinely exceptional...

...or I'm bloody bored at work.

Could be both, I suppose - roll on the weekend and thanks RP.

Nice rhythm...beaty.{#Cowboy}{#Motor} Like being in some cool blues bar with a cool beer.{#Yes}
This sort of rhythm makes me want to strut down the pavement in time with it. Nice blues rock. 7 from the toe-tapping Nottingham jury.
Definitely thought it was Lowell George!
thought is was Robert Plant at first..  has a great sound without lyrics that bore
I hear Steve Miller meeting Lowell George. Good stuff.
Hey.what a nice tune!! Thought first ,its Lenny but also this guy is good!

I guess great minds think alike.  I did it also.

Born Swedish, became a Louisiana native — what could be bad about a pretty, blonde Swede who sounds like that?  Yum yum.
A mix between Eric Clapton and Paul Rodgers in his voice. Nice guitar work!

Funny, I thought the same thing-a Little Feat song I never heard.  Good stuff!

Ooh, I like this.  Nice and gritty.
