Stayed true to the things I knew when I was younger
And food and love was all but left to hunger
'Cause when I stray from my truth as I grow older
Too much leaves an empty hollow hunger

I think about you on a moonlit night
And the stars all seem to weep
When there's so much to lose
There's never any time for sleep

Look at me doing all these things without you
We always laughed, and you were untrue
Where was it we tried hard not to go to?
I think that's how I finally came through

All the things we took for granted
The words still live on in my head
All the times I took for granted
All the words I never said

I think about you in the moonlit night
And the stars all seem to weep
When there's so much love to give
There's never any time for sleep, yeah.

So I stayed true to the things I knew when I was younger
And human life was all but left to hunger
'Cause when I stray from the truth as I grow older
Too much leaves an empty hollow hunger
Too much leaves an empty hollow hunger

With or without you
With or without you
With or without you.

I wanted to see her in Christchurch last year, but sadly the show was canceled. I am suspecting not enough ticket sales in NZ. The punters only want to see BeeGees tribute show.
Love this tune. Trip-pop. Heh

Funny. However, would you say something like that about a male performer? And would I think it is funny? Things that make you go "hmmm". (Hope I never hear that tune on here.)

Oh, please!!! It was a FUNNY comment.  Why politicize it?
I feel that she comes to doing an impression of Sade on this song! I dig how she plays with the ebb and flow of words and rhythm here.

I''d an audition with hope, but my baby needs me.
I packed my things called a random book from phonebook..
T'was  the central reservation in never never land.
Seems appropriate right now...

Nice voice- a little like Chrissy Hind when she was young and fine. She has potential. Gotta stop cutting her own hair with lawn-care appliances though.

Fantastic voice that works beautifully with this pace. Her best songs are like this.

Take away the voice and there's quite a bit of Thievery Corp there.

It's Ben Watt playing the keyboards, so there is definitely a techno/chill sound there.

She can't hold a candle to Chrissy Hynde.

This song was one of the only memorable points about the movie "The Next Best Thing"

Movie?  This is music not Hollywood BS.

A strong '1' from me, for her exceedingly annoying vocal eccentricities.
What a waste.

Are you insane?

I was going to rate it an 8, but will raise it to a 9 after reading your multiple posts.
