Summer bled of Eden
Easter's heir uncrowns
Another destiny
lies leeched
upon the ground

Everybody needs someone to live by
Everybody needs someone
Everybody needs someone to live by

A gilded wreath on reason
The flower crushed conceives
A child of fragrance
so much clearer
In legacy

Everybody needs someone to live by
Everybody needs someone
Everybody needs someone to live by

Rage on omnipotent

What an achievement!
I am forever blown away by this song! Truly, on another level... Some of my best memories of MTV when it was new are of Talk-Talk...
A 10 to the whole album easily

When it was released I really was addicted to this album!

Stop work, put on headphones, enjoy.

This one is still the best and by far the best music I have been introduced to in recent years.

One of the top 10 albums of my time...imho.
What a sequel ... John Hiatt, 2 x XTC and now Talk Talk  Must be one of my favorite sequences here on RP yet.
I've never really acquired the taste for these guys, but I can appreciate that this is probably better than most music released in 1988. I know that isn't saying very much - 1988 was the worst year for music in the 1980s, and maybe the worst in my lifetime.
Everything in this album approached genius levels IMHO, as does Mark Hollis' solo album. New romanticism meets modern jazz crossover, with real feeling.

This transports me to good places {#Meditate}

DEFINITELY pick up the CD!  The only real way to appreciate it fully, IMHO, is to get comfortable and sit down and listen to it all the way through at volume.... a nice glass of wine adds a dimension as well!!!

Got it; love it.

Am about to buy my second Talk Talk album:  Colour of Spring.
awesome band. much overlooked originally. most people didn't 'get it' - they missed out.
Eathereal!
I heard that the lead singer recorded this vocal take at home while sitting on his washer/dryer during the spin cycle....really !!!
Almost ready to hear
