I first heard this years ago when BBC Radio-3 aired "Late Junction" hosted by Verity Sharpe. It opened my ears to the endless possibilities available in music.🐨
I think like The Catherine Wheel for David Byrne, this may well be Gabriel's Opus work. And I do not say that lightly whatsoever!

Rider Haggard, Kipling, Sax Rohmer, etc. If you can't watch a new Indiana Jones flick, reading the original works are pretty good. Did you ever watch "King Solomon's Mines" with Richard Chamberlain and Sharon Stone? I got through 10 minutes and had to stop--amazingly bad.

?Always part of my "mixed tapes", this one. Exquisite blend of styles and rythms, excellent driving song. Shame the soundtrack was not nominated to an Academy Award. Not that Gabriel would care about that. WOMAD at its best.
Would be great if Bill would follow it up with Dead can Dance's "Rakim."

This is clearly one of my top 5 albums of all time. Pure genius. This opening track sets the tone; powerful, seductive, sensual. PG is amazing!
