One of my fave DCD tracks. I love how Brendan Perry makes the opening lyrics of the made-up words sound utterly convincing.  Most listeners probably simply assume he's singing in another language (which technically he is, just one he made up).

Huh. I've never been able to describe them satisfactorily. "An amalgam of medieval/Renaissance music with heavy middle eastern and African influences" is about as much as I can figure out. And  I'm not sure that's even close.

Brendan's vibe was pretty laid back and friendly. In fact, he was so laid back that night that he performed in sweatpants and a flannel shirt. :-)

I love this song. I just thought to see if there was a video of DCD performing this live. Happy to report, yes. And it blows me away.

According to the video this is them performing this song live in Montreal in 2012.
