Oh, father tell me, do we get what we deserve?
Oh, we get what we deserve

And way down we go
Oh, way down we go
Say, way down we go
Way down we go

Whoa, you let your feet run wild
Time has come as we all go down
Yeah but for the fall—oh, my—
Do you dare to look him right in the eyes?

'Cause they will run you down, down 'til the dark
Yes, and they will run you down, down 'til you fall
And they will run you down, down to your core
Yeah, 'til you can't crawl no more

And way down we go
Way down we go
Say, way down we go

'Cause they will run you down, down 'til you're caught
Way down we go

Whoa, baby, yeah
Whoa, baby
Baby
Way down we go
Yeah

And way down we go
Way down we go
Say, way down we go
Way down we go

Not my jam, but agreed on the voice and hitting what they're aiming for.
Icelandic band...not even my 100th guess. Interesting as always RP 👌
Langweilig.
Nice!

I like it. It's pretty good, so much soul in that guys voice. Solid 8

As it happens it looks like the Vikings stopped over in Britain en route to Iceland to round up women to take with them The majority of Icelandic female settlers came from the British Isles | deCODE genetics

This is also an Icelandic woman, her name is Björk:

Just sayin'...

[Edit: for the record, I enjoy much of Björk's music. But there's no denying her propensity for, um, unconventional presentation.]

LOVE
Oh, RP, you spoil us with all these Vikings you find. :o)
Instant flash-back to "The Wire"

Ooh, RP, you are spoiling us with these Vikings. Do you go scouting in Scandinavia for unknown artists? I've never heard as much scandi music as on RP. Brå. Tak så mycket! :o)
Thought this was David Gray singing as I walked back to my computer ..
Okay, I can dig it!

Today I went 8→7 on this track.  I still like it, just not as much as I did a year ago. Long Live RP!!

Why bother? It's a 9 anyway!
I had this cranked up while cruising the beautiful back roads of southern Vermont last summer. Later I met a friend at the Whetstone for beer and dinner overlooking the river. Everything was just so normal..
I thought this might be the new Bond theme song.
Björk is an artist, she's also cute when not performing:

Björk

questa canzone ha quel qualcosa in più che attira la mia attenzione e mi piace proprio
Righteous! ... way down we go... most excellent...
Cranked this up, paid closer attention and now I am hearing all kinds of stuff.

Original.
A great song, with a very creative vocal approach. And the romp after the guitar solo is just stellar.
LOVE me some Kaleo, and this tune...the BEST. Radio Paradise is so much fun!
me likey!.. not the first time I've heard it but it's the first opportunity to comment 😁
Makes me think of Joan Armatrading.

Should I feel bad for Jakob since I think his dottir is hot?  :-P
And this track is the definition of a 7.5 for me.....Long Live RP!! (and Jakobsdottir!!)
Awesome song especially after I wish by Stevie wonder on my favorites list

Similar reaction for me too...in fact I had it playing (loudly) in my truck on my drive to work and actually paused it so I could finish hearing it at my desk - and now I see that it was a first play on RP's "airwaves" just now.  I'm rating an 8 for this funky groove.

Seriously, I wonder where/how BillG finds some of these artists.  I'd love to film a documentary of the 'Internet Radio' world and get some details of how he produces his "channel."

Long Live RP!

Their first album was great, but infighting eventually destroyed the band.
As for this, I thought it was The Black Keys at first.

Liking this first listen... Sounding a bit like Hozier, which is a good thing. I'd like to hear some more from them.
I submitted another song from the album, "No Good".
Never heard it before but I like it!
pretty damn good
This is what cool is. It's not pop. It's not rock. It's cool.

No need to explain.  I'll get by just fine without knowing.

This has been playing on the local public radio alternative station for months.  Good stuff, I hope they can follow it up.
Have to admit, I like this as well. I'll see what else he does and maybe RP has just cost me more money.
