Poor boy dreams
of a brighter place to stay
He comes from the walls
and he wonders what your name is
Lays in the dirt with his face to the sky
Smiles at the sun
and watches as they fly by

Where ya going, they say
On a holiday
Watching bellies of the planes
As they fly away
No coins of gold
No money in the bank
As long as I dream
I can still escape
I can still escape

Raised by the wolves
and the guns of the night
It's either this or the spoon
if you want to take flight
So he decides to live
without the bright lights
Where he watches the sun
and smiles as they fly by

Where ya going, they say
On a holiday
Watching bellies of the planes
As they fly away
No coins of gold
No money in the bank
As long as I dream
I can still escape
I can still escape

Poor boy dreams
with his arms held high
Flies over fields,
lost in his mind's eye
Lays in the dirt with his face to the sky
Smiles at the sun
and watches as they fly by

Where ya going, they say
On a holiday
Watching bellies of the planes
As they fly away
No coins of gold
No money in the bank
As long as I dream
I can still escape
I can still escape

The Hip Abduction sounds like something you would need physical therapy for.

Like "Hippies" sounded like a bunch of wobbly walkers back in the 70's?

Seems as authentic as an Outback Steak House...

Both proud products of the Tampa Bay area

Sounds so much like Vampire Weekend…

It's actually an exercise for the hip (as is hip adduction) but I suppose to you do it wrong you might need PT. :)
First listen, puts me in mind of Vampire Weekend. I like it!

Where the hell did this guy manufacture this crap accent? A Vaguely reggae/Caribbean/Jack Johnson/Michael Franti mash up. Strictly for the white boy with dreadlocks set.

Fogerty is who I think of for getting away with faking an accent but there has to be a country singer from Manhattan who drawls like a Louisiana native.  I love Fogerty, BTW, and think his being to pull off being a swamp boy is a testimony to his talent.
Had to check it wasn't David Gray!

I was thinking that - as my hip pain throbbed while I read this.
makes me want to sit on the beach drinking a beverage with an umbrella and lots of fruit in it.  Has a Paul Simon vibe.
sounds like Passenger to me...

Yeah. I don't dislike much but this is too syrupy for RP.

They're apparently from St. Petersburg, FLA - maybe that's the native accent.
Okay there must be a theme or topic or other RP magic goin on in this set. Followed the recently stunning Si Se with THIS! {#Roflol}
La la la la la la . La. La. La la la la la la . Lazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

For a "negative" post, that's pretty funny!  I feel that way too, maybe less severely.  Also reminds me of that song by Passenger....something a bit too juvenile about the vocal quality for my liking.  At least this one I like the grove, so I'll stick to my 6 rating for now.  PEACE & LONG LIVE RP!!

Sounds like the band Eddie From Ohio doing a cover of a Xavier Rudd song - I like it!
Great song.  Dancing bananas make it all the better!

i was thinking the same thing, but i thought it was just me since i'm about to get a cortisone shot in my hip tomorrow.
Reminds me a bit of Paul Simon's Graceland.  Not a bad thing.

nice blend of a whole lot of different stuff.  Kind of like Mali meets Hawaii on a trip to the Caribbean or something.

Islander Quiet Hollers?
New band? Lead singer sounds a little like David Gray.
