Never WOULD have heard of him - but for Radio Paradise.

Same here! I agree completely!  That is why we come here. PS: he has played with a lot of great people. Thanx RP!
He is well known in percussionist/jazz circles as the most talented living percussionist.
Just too awesome...

Oh yeah, time to bounce on my office ball chair...
First Phil now Trilok...
Sounds like 'No Doubt' nicked the intro, and the bass line ...
My neighbor's dog is named Maya - 8
Rocking funkiness trance jam!
Meanwhile, I think I have sat on a brown-recluse.  We'll see...
Oh yeah- these lyrics ARE available.  Just not available to you
(lyrics not available)   yeah   no kidding
I've been spending a LOT of time over on the eclectic channel, and it's fun to hear some of those pieces (such as this one) finding its way on to the main channel.
I wonder what a collaboration between this artist and Brian Eno would sound like?
The album cover is really interesting with the large bells.  I see that he has worked with John McLaughlin - that would be great to hear....

First time for me, I like. And I envision some joint efforts that will turn out amazing.

Very trippy! There's something in the twangy background rhythm that reminds me of Hawkwind's 'The Aubergine That Ate Rangoon'
once member of the inspiring band "oregon" ... so cool ! :
