I've had success with this in the past with several media servers, although I'm still looking for the perfect solution that delivers video, audio, pictures, and internet radio to my Xbox360.
In theory Twonkymedia does it, although the latest version doesn't seem to have the internet radio working. It's not free either.

My current favourite server for listening to music and internet radio on the Xbox360 is Foobar2000. There is an optional add-on component called UPnP/DLNA Renderer which, when installed, will serve up all your music library to the Xbox. If you make Radio Paradise one of your playlists in Foobar, it should show up in the Xbox browser as a playlist item too.

Foobar is a very powerful music player, not always the easiest to set up how you like it, but highly recommended especially if you like customisation.

This was working great for me on Windows XP. I've just got Windows 7 and haven't tried it yet, but in theory it should work just the same.

Give me a shout if you need help.

EDIT: Now all set up on Windows 7 and working great. 128AAC sounds fantastic on the Xbox

Hiya, I got an Xbox 360 for christmas, and it's hooked up to the TV and surround sound system in the other room. After giving it a network cable to work with, I  started looking around to see if I could have it play music and video from my computer without using Windows Media Player 11 (I dislike and refuse to use WMP for reasons which I won't get into here). In any case I came across TVersity and after a bit of configuring (and crashing unfortunately...) was able to load my library into it, which the xbox360 could then read.

So then I noticed on TVserity there was an "Internet audio" option. Could this let me forward streaming to the xbox? could this let me forward RADIOPARADISE to the xbox?. Well, after a couple of minutes, success! it plays just fine, and without the "cuts off after 10 minutes" issue mentioned earlier in this thread.

Here's how I did it. The same steps should work for ANY device which TVersity supports... including a Playstation 3 (PS3), a couple of different wifi devices and other computers on the network, even if they're more restricted on the firewall from accessing "the internet".  First step of course is make sure you have TVersity working in the first place, try to configure it for some WAV files, mp3 files, whatever you have "handy" on your computer. Make sure the dang thing WORKS before you try to get the Streaming functionality working through it. Having a working TVersity that other devices can connect to, decide which one of RP's streams that TVersity can read. For maximum compatibility, I just selected the 128kbps MP3 stream, though I'm sure at least a couple of the others will work as well (other streams I sometimes listen to use aacPlus with no other options and they work). Second of all you'll need to go to TVersity's "Internet Audio Section" and choose ADD ITEM at the top. From there a popup should appear that I'm including as an image below. In the Audio URL field you'll want to COPY the link (don't open or play it) from RP's Listen selection page and paste it into that spot. Title is just whatever you want to name the stream on the menu. Tags are just keywords for searching for it. I have no idea what the Menu field is for yet.

For the stream to work, you'll need to have Public: set to YES. If it is set to No, it simply won't show up on the list when people access the TVersity stream on other devices. Transcode also needs to be set to either "When Needed" (default) or "Always", since RP needs to be transcoded from it's format to the new format that the 360 can understand.

TVersity settings

After all that, give it a couple of minutes to refresh and update. After doing so, you should be able to find whatever you named the stream (Radio Paradise (128-Normal) in my example) in the list of music files... as a regular song selection. Open it up there should be a list of the different actual stream urls on the right, you can ignore those unless you need to change them or need to choose a specific one... it should start playing.

The nice thing about the Xbox 360 too, is that if you're in a game and decide you don't like the music, you can press the Xbox Menu button in the middle of the controller, go to the audio player, load the radio paradise stream and... THE console's smart enough to turn off the game's music! (but leaves the sound effects on). I like tunes in videogames, but not all are created equal and there's some soundtracks not worth listening to.

Also, on the computer that's running TVersity, turn off the GUI (the menu system) when you're not using it. It's buggy, bloated and easily doubles the amount of memory that TVersity needs. Your music will still be served and play even if you can't see the GUI controls.   Happy RPing!

Oh and by the way, I'm using Windows XP, not Vista.

I'm using TVersity with a PS3. I got the station to play, but it repeated after about 10 minutes (i.e. it did not continue in real time, but went back to when I had joined the stream and played from there for about 10 minutes, before repeating again).

Any thoughts on why that would be?

Here's the link I'm using for RP: http://stream-sd.radioparadise.com:8010

I've been trying this for a while and still no joy, anyone had any luck?

There are guides around that show how to do it for other stations but it doesnt seem to work for RP.

I did a few searches and didn't come up with anything on this. Apologies if it's a FAQ. I have an Xbox360 and just got a new Windows Vista PC. The Xbox gives me the ability to listen to Internet radio via the Windows Media Center capabilities of the Vista PC, but so far I haven't been able to get it to connect to RP. Has anyone had any success with this? If so, how did you set it up? Also, does it show you the song titles, or does it just say "Radio Paradise" or something like that when playing? Thanks, Mike
