Obviously I should have run those edit room audio monitors way the heck down way earlier in my career...

UPDATE: Just purchased a Radsone EarStudio ES100 bluetooth receiver.  The unit allows you to send iPhone (or any bluetooth device) audio to either a standard 3.5mm plug headphone/earphone or 2.5 balanced set.  The accompanying app has 10 bands of EQ (4 user defined pre-sets) and a slew of other adjustments (crossfeed, roll-offs, bluetooth codecs, seperate source/unit volume controls, sample rates). It also can act as an outboard DAC converter if you plug it into a computer USB port.  In short, it ain't no toy.

It's about the size of a Zippo lighter, runs up to 14 hrs. on a charge.  Also allows firmware updates which seem to be issued with some regularity. $99 on Amazon.

The sound quality is stunning.  RP on FLAC using ACC codec is drop dead clean and quiet with tremendous headroom.  Really let's all the hard work RP puts into their audio-chain shine through.

I'm afraid I know the answer to this but I'd like confirmation.

Is there an iPhone app that allows equalization (EQ) to the Paradise stream using the iOS app?

I know Bill and everyone takes great pride in providing an outstanding audio chain as evidenced by the addition of a FLAC stream.  I'm not questioning what is sent, but rather what I can do on my end, since I'm of a certain age and having had my ears beat up pretty good over a career working in media production (and a few times being too close to speaker stacks at concerts) that a little bump in the higher frequency ranges would be tremendously helpful.  This really became noticeable today when I received a set of custom in-ear monitors (Alclair Reference, if you're interested) that have a very 'flat' frequency profile and right away listened to the RP stream.  I really do need a boost in the high end.

The answer I'm afraid of is that Apple doesn't allow 'global' sound equalization. In other words, you can tweak the sound in their music app, but no others.  Third-part EQ apps apparently will only work with the Apple music app or stream sources blessed by Apple.  True?  If so, the next question would be is there any thoughts of adding at least rudimentary EQ in the RP app (yeah, I know, that should go in the feature request forum) or do whatever it is that Apple requires in order for third-party EQ apps to work with the RP app.
