Snowed 3â last night and then it turned to rain this morning and will rain till early afternoon. I hate shoveling slush.
Yup that slush did a number on my back.
go for it! as we age there are huge benefits to maintaining physical and mental activity
i see people retire and get caught in the gravitational pull of the sofa or recliner
absolutely crucial to get out get busy
been awhile since i've been in a snowy situation
i remember hiking through the forest and being amazed at the pristine scenery and the silence
stay safe and enjoy
Not great skiing is better than no skiing! And take that, cerebral aneurysm!

Well, I believe they will now find out how things really are. I don't believe they will have any sense that it is because of their own failings though.
One of 7984 very good reasons not to vote for him. People who voted for him were hoping that the cruelty would be pointed at other people and they might benefit from that. My sympathies are exhausted. Almost everyone will get what the few deserve.
Not absolving anyone of responsibility, but you're talking about people who operate on the basis of what they believe/how they think things should be as opposed to what is reality/how things are.

Not buying that. I get that people are busy and have other priorities and stuff. But the news cycle is 24-7 and relentless. None of this is really a surprise. If you voted for him, you knew there was a good chance this was coming. The 36.1% might have some cover if they thought that he wasn't going to win, but that's still not an absolution of responsibility.

I think the majority of people who voted for Trump did so because they wanted lower grocery prices and/or didn't want to vote for a brown-skinned woman. They probably didn't think much about an unelected, foreign-born grifter trampling the Constitution while dismantling the government. Also, voter turnout nationally in 2024 was 63.9 percent.

Half the people want this. you need 67% for a riot (or a simple misunderstanding of how elections work and a gullible disaffected group).
