Lyrics:

Following every time
After she slowly waves
She doesn't seem so shy
Perhaps it's love she saves
Consider memories
Well am i ready for this?
Consider everything
Like a hedonist
Like a hedonist

I saw something there
That i can't figure out
A waterfall, the waterfall

Upon the hardwood floor
Where the walls are white
Still you can't be sure
Of everything you write
Under a quiet gaze
Between out silly laughs
I've walked a hundred ways
Amongst the garden paths
Amongst the garden paths

I saw something there
That i can't figure out
A waterfall, the waterfall

Along the riverside
Hearing a summer breeze
There's nowhere to hide
Beyond our empty needs
Remember what you've found
Maybe you'd rather crawl
I'll take the slow way down
Like a waterfall

Like a waterfall
Ahhhh. The sound of chiming guitars.
Another good soundtrack candidate for my sunny childhood.
Reminds me of many other bands - all of which sound good!  Not groundbreaking, etc., just pleasing to the ears...
Totally agree on  the Ocean Blue similarity........... great tune and a great sound
very 80's - almost Flock of Seagulls
Like Johnny Rhythym, I love the jingly jangly sound.
i like this CA . Are they CA? Do you guys play anything else?

Plebian. But whaddya spect: you're amurikin. Stuck in your next dollar bill.

I'll be there with ya. But obviously, I'm a critic.

Yes, this definitely reminds me of both The Church (which I remember from the early '80s" and Ocean Blue.  Strangely, my only memories of Ocean Blue was when they were opening for friends of mine (Briggs Beal) back in about '85 in Hershey and Lancaster.  I don't think that they were out of High School yet.  ;-)

I saw these guys open for Ocean Blue at a show in 1991 or 92 in Philly. I thought they were pretty good but they seemed to dissapear after this album. Nice to hear this on RP.

OCEAN BLUE...DEAD ON!....like it
Reminds me of the Psychedelic Furs.

...likewise, first time i've heard this, but the intro is spot-on!..

I knew The Church, and this sir, is NOT the Church. Seriously, I hear it in the jangle of the guitars but the person who said "The Ocean Blue" is much closer to the mark.
Thought it was a Church tune!

Upon hearing this single for the first time, of the first groups I thought of was Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians.

Very Ocean Blue-ish. Nice.
I thought the very same thing.

Unfortunate that these guys only released one CD. Apparently there's also a metal band by the same name. Nice choice Bill. Flashback.
Actually, they put out another CD independently called 'Taste', years later. (click here)
Speaking of Waterfalls how about hearing Jimi's? That is a sweet and underheard little track. This Riverside tune is nice though. The swirling sustained guitars are cool.

Still love it.

You can now find them over at the following website: (click here)
If music could be wallpaper... What bland, listless, generic pop.
Nice to hear this again.

Wow! I thought this was the Ocean Blue all grown up. Very nice melodic sound. Thanks Bill.
Very cool to hear Riverside on RP! I'm a big Ocean Blue fan, so I immediately liked these guys when I first discovered them a while back. This is an excellent CD. Too bad they never stuck around. I think there's a bootleg of unreleased Riverside songs out there, but I've never done too much searching for it. broohaha wrote:

It was out of print when I purchased it, however, it was pretty easy to find from the used CD section of Amazon.com.

It does start off with a very Church-esque sound and, yeah, the whole song is fairly Church-esque. Love it.
Wow, you took the words right off my keyboard! Very Church-ish I loved "Under the Milky Way" from the 80's. That song specifically reminds me of being snowed in in Truckee CA Memorial Weekend, 1987. It was the no. 1 video on MTV that week (when they played music videos)

Catchy
Remarkable song!!! Great music!!! Melodic But I feel like something wrong... Maybe words and music aren't synchronized as it should be... Anyway it's an 80's-like song
Nothing new here, but quite likeable.
