Today, I feel like pleasing you
More than before
Today, I know what I want to do
But I don't know what for
To be living for you
Is all I want to do
To be loving you
It'll all be there
When my dreams come true
Today, you'll make me say
That I somehow have changed
Today, you'll look into my eyes
I'm just not the same
To be any more than all I am
Would be a lie
I'm so full of love
I could burst apart
And start to cry
Today, everything you want
I swear it will all come true
Today, I realize how much
I'm in love with you
With you standing here
I could tell the world
What it means to love
To go on from here
I can't use words
They don't say enough
Please, please listen to me
It's taken so long to come true
It's all for you, all for you
More than before
Today, I know what I want to do
But I don't know what for
To be living for you
Is all I want to do
To be loving you
It'll all be there
When my dreams come true

Beautiful song from one of the best RnR albums.
Happy Birthday Grace for yesterday - 30-Oct - being a gentleman I'll not mention The Lady's age!
I was so lucky to have heard J.A. before they became big. It was a rainy night in Boston; they were playing in a place at the bottom of the Hancock Tower. When they played You And Me and Parnell, Paul Katner brought a small tape recorder to play the guitar feedback part because the venue had no equipment.
Invited by my friend Marty, I was playing hookey from Juniata College - stoned but never had enough back then. Such great memories to grow old on. I hope that music brings such joy to younger generations today.

There was a certain fidelity, clarity, authenticity, and innocence to their sound on the early albums.
Yet among all the glory, LSD doesn't seem to be a solution, or does it?
How can I ever forget all of the times that this tune seared its way deep into the innermost recesses of my consciousness (and surely my unconscious mind, as well?)? This is undeniably pure musical genius, on every single level. Yet, it sounds like it was improvised in a tiny nightclub with a certain purple haze... Perhaps one of the most perfect songs EVER... IMMORTAL, and worthy of eternal worship!
I'm 77 years old. This remains one of my favorite albums of all time. And I still have it!

Gotta be one of my favourite songs of all time. Such a wonderful, haunting melody and lyrics. Can't rate it high enough.

One of the few records for eternity --> Godlike
One of the "God" groups of the 60's! Doesn't get any better!
Always love JA Turned on to JA and LSD back in the early 70s Power to the people
Oh the days Let’s all wake up today
Probably the prettiest Love song ever done by one of my favorite groups of all time!
When we list the "Gods" of rock and roll; J.A. are up there!

Definitely one of the most beautiful songs of that year from a fantastic group. Thanks for playing it.

Up to a 10, when a song gives me the goose bumps over my entire body until the end, that says something.

I'm going with a 9- "Outstanding"
As my 2 older brothers, Steve & Dave would have said "You'd have to have been there"
So much passion in the San Francisco Bay Area back then.

I vote for "Blows Against the Empire"

Early Jeff Air is as good as it gets. I did not know that the sparing lead guitar was Jerry Garcia until the song's introduction. Very interesting. Count me as one appreciative not only of the song itself (!) but the intriguing details. TY, RP.

Another piece of my mortal heart removed...
One of my favorite JA songs, and perfect for honoring Paul.
Another week, another fallen rock star. So long, Paul.

This is one of my all time favorite songs and thanks for playing it. What wonderful lyrics and melodies and some luscious memories that go along with it. Ohhh, that tall grass of my youth.
Played at my wedding 18 years ago...shoulda been our wedding song but opted for a Platters tune. Thanks Bill for playing a great love song!
Stirring up some old feelings. Such a beautiful song....
Great song... Renee Fleming did a cover of this and it held up nicely...
I read somewhere that this album outsold "Disraeli Gears" and "Sgt Peppers" and was number one selling album that year. I went thru a few vinyl copies. Great tunes and a moment in time before the world changed.

Hard to believe that "core" members from this group went on to record.....'We built this City"(ughhhhhhh)
....oh, duh. Should'a checked the personnel on this track. Me so much smarter now.
Keep hearing Dead licks in here... Morning Dew? The Eleven?

Who could sing a sappy love song better than Marty?

Rented the DVD, Fly Jefferson Airplane, recently. I was quite surprised by the quality of both the video and audio. Recommended!

Excellent song from an excellent album. The album had the right mix of uptempo and slower songs. Definitely their best album.
Look how young those people on the album cover are. Almost a miracle this song is....

I can't believe I've been listening to this album for 40 YEARS and haven't tired of it! This track in particular is a favorite, as I'm pretty sure it was playing when my first hit of acid started to kick in...
Damn, there I go getting nostalgic again.

Um yeah buddy. This isn't even the best track by far. One of the most track-to-track consistently good LPs ever produced.
I knew this was an iconic album of the sixties and I have a song or two from it, but in the past two days I have heard a couple of cuts from it I had never heard before (on RP, of course), and now am thinking I need to buy this. Beautiful guitar work like this needs to be in my life more.

yeah really!
Reminds me of the musty lace curtains the former owner left in our 1921 house.
This cut is a virtual time machine for me... was playing when I was saying goodbye to my girlfriend as I left for the Navy...also evidence that Marty Ballin had a soft-side to his song writing...
