Waiting there by the side of the river
Waiting there but she did not show
Wringing his hands and shaking his head
Checking his watch it's time to go
They say the sky is the limit
Reflected in the mirror of the mighty Mississippi
Shootin' for the moon
Crash landed in the Crescent City
Shootin' for the moon
Out here the truth is all you can see
But there is a trick in the thick of it all
The ghost in a fog is a thin line
Between first light and last call
They say the sky is the limit
Reflected in the mirror of the mighty Mississippi
Shootin' for the moon
Crash landed in the Crescent City
Shootin' for the moon
Waiting there by the side of the river
Get ready to cross to the other shore
Standing there by the side of the river
It never looked so wide before
They say the sky is the limit
Reflected in the mirror of the mighty Mississippi
Shootin' for the moon
Crash landed in the Crescent City
They say the sky is the limit

"South of I-10" is the 4th studio album from Sonny Landreth. The album features his first collaboration with Mark Knopfler. The songs "Shootin' for the Moon" and "Creole Angel" feat. Mark Knopfler on guitar, vocals. Excelente song, btw.
In 4 years of listening to RP this is the first song that made me turn it off.

Now, a study presents an answer that seems rather obvious in retrospect. Those wide-open eyes and flared nostrils take in more sensory information, which helps when you’re trying to figure out how to evade swiping bear claws.
Sonny rocks. Lizards rule.

"Shootin for the moon and landed in the Crescent City." Not a bad place to find oneself.

I know - f*ckin' amazing, eh? Brilliant back-to-basics blues rock. An immediate 8 from the Nottingham jury.

Landreth is an awesome, innovative player.
And he's got tone for days (not just distortion).

not a whole lot left south of I10 in Mississippi.
Katrina gave them the work over.
A few small towns dissapeared.
Louisiana was not hit near as hard by Kat or Rita, though Rita did a good bit of wind damage.
I bought this CD at a mall music shop in Mississippi for a dollar. I thought that I may heard of this guy before. I poped it into the rental car CD player and I thought that was the best dollar that I had ever spent on a CD. This was before all of the (CD burning technology was widely available). The next day I went back to that CD shop and bought every copy of Sonny Landreth's I-10 CD for a dollar. I gave a copy to alot of friends. I think I got about 5 copies. I know, I'm a cheap bastard but I have been a fan of Sonny Landreth's ever since!
Rockin'!
Like that ZZ Top kinda drive, it has.
the more I hear from this guy, the more I like his music.
Wow, this is kewl... I thought it might be Ween at first. I\'m going to check this guy out.
