Whew, I also thought of Stairway. Glad I am also not insane. Nice to check the message boards to discover that people hear the same things as I hear (usually).

why'd I think this was Lovage...
This song is at the end of the album and is more of an album closing song than one that should stand on its own.

Normally I love Morcheeba, but this song didn't do anything for me :(

Sounds so much better ... on "mute" :-D
Yeah, Stairway and not in a good way.

This is not a fun party at all, so why worry about it being over? "Mama told me not to come!!!"

ik, boring, pretentious, repetitive, repetitive; even the pseudopornographic inuendo is lame enough to go almost unnoticed in the face of my wish that it would just end now, soon, sometime before this akeybreakbeat Stairway to Hell atrocity drills a hole in my mind that can never be filled, no matter how much good music RP manages to blow into it! MAKE IT STOP!
DON'T STOP DON'T STOP DON'T STOP I'M COMING!
Staying on the ''free'' theme, how about playing Chimes of Freedom Flashing?
Kinda freaky through my headphones.

Ok, so I'm not insane...
I hear parts of Stairway too.
Reminds me of standing around watching my wife shop at Express. That's the music style they play. Very hypnotic.

...and she's cliiii-iiim-biiing a staiiiir-waaaaay to heav-en!..
yes, it has a touch of "Stairway"
Normally I love Morcheeba, but this song didn't do anything for me :(

Anyone else hear "Stairway to Heaven" in this song?
yup...I thought it was a mashup at first.
needs more lyrics
Am I crazy, or is the flute part in the middle kinda from Stairway to Heaven?
not my cup-o-tea at all
The climax of this song is a climax. I like that!

Gawd I love Morcheeba. What 'style' IS this anyway?
it's morcheeba... unique and good

trip hop
Definitely. Same here. Whatever this style is... I love it.

I heard "Stairway" about 30 seconds into it. Good call. A great mind thinks alike
Is it pedantic to say that anyone who doesn't hear that, doesn't know his classics?
Probably.

This song is pretty cool but it should be on an album called...
"Songs to Have Sex to After a Rave."
Ohhh God !!!! I'm Peaking, I'm PEEEEEAAAAKING !!!!!!
Don't forget to clean up after yourself.
and she's buying a stairway to heaven...
Crazy distribution of votes on this one.
Gets a +1 for making stairway to heaven ring in my ears. Maybe that should be a -1.

Not a big fan of the whole "Let's repeat the same line 50 times in a row" approach to music. It works on the rare occasion, but this song doesn't work for me.
I do like the guitar. But if I hear "when the party's over..." one more time, I'm going to cry.
repetitious drivel.
nice guitar.

This album is mostly DISCO! Arrrrgggh.
The first two albums are blues & groove, NON f**king stop.
Thought this album would continue the experience, NOT. No wonder RP only plays the last song on Fragments (US Release).
I just don't seem to get D...I...S...C...O.. stuff. Nope, don't like it, don't like it at all...
This album is not at all disco and the first two albums were not at all blues. Are you talking about Morcheeba or the British?

reminds me a bit of some of the Enigma tunes. those snare and hi hat hits just grind on a bit, don't they?
maybe it's the repetitive phrasing
maybe it's the repetitive phrasing
Less Cheeba.
AAAAARRRRRHHHHH !!! This song just keeps going and going and going and going..

Thank God for this comment section, else I'd go crazy trying to figure some stuff out. I knew that strain sounded familiar. ;)
Disagree with the mudslingers. This is the best song on an interesting album. Very cool that a band with a singer with pipes like that would put out what is essentially an instrumental.

I find myself humming this song in my head for hours after listening to it.
"When the party is over..." So this says something about the song.
Not all songs need to be complex as far as lyrics go in order for it to be good. I love it.
Great track, but them I'm biassed! But just think "Ohhhh.... Maybe you're right...." ;)

Hard for me to diss the Cheeba as they are about my favorite band. But this song, and indeed the album from which it comes, is not their best work. I am hoping with all my might that their upcoming album "Charango" will be more like Big Calm and Who Can You Trust. Two of my favorite albums of all time.
Charango is brilliant but very different to Big Calm...
Last Call on this song!
They\'re OK, but (in my opinion) over-rated
I really like this song, as I do all Morcheeba that I have heard. Has a solid groove you can get into.

Sampling a classic and singing over it is a great technique in the hands of the right artist. This ain\'t it.
I really like it...
This leaves me pretty cold. Maybe it\'d be appropriate for another time or place (rather than here at my desk in the office).
