All these cats with holey jeans,
Dirty hair and titty rings
say "What's your scene man? We got these questions
Is it true that you have sold your soul?"
I say "Hey man, I don't know
Lend me a quarter won't you?
I'll call my accountant."
Let's get off this
And get on with it
If you wanna change the world
Shut your mouth and start to spin it
Get off this
Get on with it
If you wanna change the world
Shut your mouth and start this minute
Petty little Ayatollah's
come around to judge and stone ya
All's we're trying to do is make a fortune
Yeah, we ain't got no government loans
And no one sends a check from home
But get this: we're just doin' what we wanna
So let's get off this
And get on with it
If you wanna change the world
Shut your mouth and start to spin it
Get off this
Get on with it
If you wanna change the world
Shut your mouth and start this minute
Well the guitar players
Stayin' out in Hollywood and sayin'
He's just trying' to get some sleep
But everyone's complaning
Are you truly deeply cynical
'Cause boy you know that I loved you so
When no one knew your name
And you were pompous
Let's get off this
And get on with it
If you wanna change the world
Shut your mouth and start to spin it
Get off this
Get on with it
If you wanna change the world
Shut your mouth, shut your mouth

Love me some Cracker, especially after seeing them live a while back. Plan to see them this coming January in NYC.

Cracker is one of the Top 10 - 20 terrif musical artists I discovered here on RP that I had heard zilch of in NYC US. Porc Tree, James, Jesse Cook, Cracker and multi others have expanded my spectrum. Not just new, but wonderful new.

Indeed he does. I have no real sense of internet radio other than this site, but does any other source appreciate Cracker? This was popular in the 90s, but what other songs by this creative group ever got any serious attention? Elsewhere, that is.
WXRT in Chicago also loves Cracker, but they only play this cut, "Low" and "Teen Angst." That's it. Wish they would play other songs from them. So many to choose from!

Yall chill while we dance with Bill
Bill likes Cracker, as do I and other listeners.
So... live with it, PSD it, or whatever you need to do when 4 minutes of your life will be "wrecked" just by listening to a song.

WHAT THE BLEEP?
It's been an hour since I decided to step out the door of my apartment and go get a flu shot, but Bill and RP keeps pumping great music through my speakers. I'm still here. Is RP a menace to my health, or a boon to my well being? Asking for a friend...

As luck would have it, was playing Kerosene Hat in my car yesterday. Bill knows everything.
When live music comes back, I'm driving however far I have to drive to see this band again. My soul needs Kerosene!
Soundtrack to my alcoholic period.....

Spreading that Cracker wisdom in one quirky-ass song.
More Cracker!
Love this whole album

Great song. Also LOVE the version they did with Leftover Salmon.

Listening to that, I thought "Uh huh!? When did Tom Petty, while being amazingly upbeat, sing a song with Lynryd Skynryd as backing band and Frank Zappa doing one of his 70s guitar solos?" Interesting.
Wow, didn't realize that up until last summer, it had been 11 years since RP played this. Hmm.

Sweet bass line throughout.
F*****' great song. Great energy, great guitar, and who gives a crap that there is a voicebox?

Exactly. And thankfully we were spared a CRACKER COMES ALIVE disc, though the live stuff they did with Leftover Salmon is rancid enough.
Cracker has to be some of the worst stuff I\'ve ever heard.

Do you feel like I do?
I swear I hear more Cracker on RP than I ever had my whole life. Yeah, that's a bad thing. Very bad.
Arguably the best Cracker has done or will ever do.
\'Kerosene Hat\' is a awesome album.
(pimp) (pimp)
Played to death.
Don\'t forget about Joe Walsh! (that voicebox)
Kinda like this band\'s attitude, though the song ain\'t really much. You\'ve heard it after 1 minute and you know in popmusic it should be 3 minutes at least. :p
So what\'s wrong with a little voice box. Haven\'t heard this one in quite a while. I think it\'s pretty energetic.
Let\'s get off this, and get on with it. The sooner the better.
PETER FRAMPTON GUITAR? God help us all......
