Leaning from the balcony
As if without a care
Wondering should I take the fall
Or should I take the stairs.
Have I already fallen over
And now spinning in the air
I don't know
Cause I'm in this vertigo

Leaning from this precipice.
That only love would dare
Spining in a gravity
That only love could bear
Were I to tumble to from this cloudy high
How would i fare
Take it slow I'm in this vertigo.

Take me down
Down to where the rain falls
Down where the rain can wash away this high
I feel I've gone
Beyond the edge and falling
Falling like tears that turn to snow
Falling in this vertigo

Leaning from the balcony
Above the interstate
Will I come around too soon
Or will it be too late
Surely there's only one direction
I could go at this rate
Down below I'm in this vertigo.

If I had my way
I would stay up here forever and neverlook down
But surely it will come 'cause
I've always had that feeling of rushing the ground.

Another tune from my favorites that's not been played on RP recently.
I'm sure I haven't heard it, cuz I only would have heard it on RP

Sticking with my 7 rating.
This is not what I was looking for in Mellow Mix.  Skip and downrate!

Ha! True enough in the verses.
Uh, "Mellow Mix"? Hmm. Not so mellow.

Very disappointing following LCD -> Massive Attack -> Bonobo
extremely average rock. instantly forgetable

My homies! Believe it or not though, this one was a bit oversaturated around here. Pretty song, just heard it way too many times!{#Stop}
I quite like it. The singer reminds me of Silverchair. As for the cover: looks a lot like one of those xray-photos by Nick Veasey. That´s the same guy who did the photos for the keyvisuals to Adobe´s Creative Suite CS/CS2 (you know, those feathers, leafs etc. on the covers of Photoshop, Illustrator and so on)

It's strange, sometimes you immediately dis/like a song from almost the first chords, and sadly it was an almost immediate mute after just a couple of bars on this one, particularly after the vocalist kicked in :(

2nd that!

i miss these guys so much...!
Second the blah......cool cover though...

Unfortunately I came into this about halfway, but from a style perspective they have picked and chosen wisely.  Very well crafted and performed.
Uninspired.
Thought it was Rufus.

You're right, on both counts! They met in NC, while attending music school, but moved to Charleston, where they still all live. Sadly, they've now parted ways, but many of them have other things going on. Jay Clifford (singer & co-lead guitarist) has a solo CD out now, along with a video being directed by Zach Braff (of Scrubs & Garden State fame). Jonathan Gray (the bassist) is in a cool new band named Slow Runner. Both Jay and Slow Runner have MySpace pages and web sites; check 'em out!
Extremely boring

Oh definitely. Much much better!
A recent addition to my collection. This is one of fave tunes on the CD. Although I don't hear it on this song, quite a few of their songs remind me of Radiohead... which is fine by me :)
I dig it. Thank you.
Great transition from Summer Skin! A lovely tune.
Never heard it before, but had kind of a throw back to bouncy, hip 70's feel. Dig it.
like them. poppy but with more sense and complexity. not Colin Hay I hear, but Glenn Tillbrook. sold.

Wow! Excellent chord changes, vocals, guitars...great songwriting and composition. I'd like to hear more. An 8 from me.
This is the first time I've heard JLC, and im blown away. This song is increidble, gets an easy 9 from me, I hope to hear much more from them!

longer version?? sweet! thanks, bill!!! :)
There are phrasings within that sound kinda Al Stewart-ish too.
I was wondering if anyone else has ever thought that his voice sounded like Colin Hay . . . esp. on the song Close Your Eyes that he does acoustically. It reminds me of overkill. Anway, I love JLC!
just so all the JLC fans here know, they're releasing a new CD on April 20th... I'm pretty sure it'll be amazing. I really hope they put "Requiem" on it...
Great band from my state! They have a great live show.
WOW!! Blown away by this track... This is why I love Radio Paradise... I would never here this stuff anywhere locally.
Rufus Wainwright with a "rock" feel. I kinda like it. ..

I just love the way they play around with the key. As it modulates from major to minor you'd certainly expect it to stay there but it won't - it fools you and returns to the original key... Tricky! :D
If you like that you should really give Silverchairs Diorama a shot. It's like that, but many times better, in every way.

i thought at first it was rufus, too. until it started rocking out a little. saw sondra what'shisname open up for Liz Phair a couple months back. not so great. i didn't think he even sounded this good.

How about Sondra Lerche? (sp?)
one of my favorite songs ever written. I wish you'd play the rest of the songs of this album...
He sound a little bit like JB as well.

In a nice way, a sort of sympho rock \'n\' roll. The chorus, especially, is very likeable (and ain\'t that the most important part?)
I had never heard these guys before my introduction to them on RadioParadise...I am very impressed and I find the vast majority of the songs I am hearing from this band, I LIKE! I'm buying the CD tomorrow!
