This is a perfect of example of when RP pays attention to the flow of song transitions and I don't have to get up and skip the track or put on my playlists. Wye Oak's Spiral is a seamless transition into The Cure's Close to Me. Great job folks!

Smith was a revelation in their Glastonbury set this year. Yup the old bag lady goth absolutely killed it, his wavery vocal so controlled and cutting through like it never did. And I'm not a fan per se.

Hoping the poster below manages to learn to communicate one day.

I bought this album after seeing the video for this song(my first time hearing it) and boy was I surprized that I had purchased a remix album.
I loved everything on it! I find it tough to listen to most of the original versions anymore.

I prefer Seventeen Seconds and Faith to Porno - but yes, the first five or six were great.

I won a lip sync contest ($500!!) doing this song in High School -- and that's in 1986 dollars!

Actually, he was one of the "fathers" of Goth - and The Cure's music was/is considered part of the Goth canon. Emo evolved out of Goth, so you might more appropriately say he was Emo's ancestor, distantly related - a proto-Emo, perhaps?
