Color me any color
Speak to me in tongues and share
Tell me how you'd love to hate me?
Tell me how you'd love to care?
Well I just want
(To shake us up)
Well I just want
What's to want you
To shake us up
(Aha, aha, aha)
Well let's mingle
(Aha, aha, aha)
And make it well
(Aha, aha, aha)
Oh come together now
(Aha, aha, aha)
Yeah let's gel
Clothe me in any fashion
Glitter to so mundane
Tell me how you'd love to change me?
Tell me I can stay the same
Well I just want
(To shake us up)
Well I just want
What's to want you
To shake us up
(Aha, aha, aha)
Well let's mingle
(Aha, aha, aha)
And make it well
(Aha, aha, aha)
Oh come together now
(Aha, aha, aha)
Yeah let's gel
Well let's mingle
(Aha, aha, aha)
And make it well
(Aha, aha, aha)
Oh come together now
(Aha, aha, aha)
Yeah let's gel
(Aha, aha, aha)
Well let's bungle
(Aha, aha, aha)
And live to tell
(Aha, aha, aha)
Wow we came together
Yeah how we gelled?
Speak to me in tongues and share

Rockin' today Bill, some terrific tracks.
Thank you ❤️
Thank you ❤️
love me some mid-90's "alt" rock. crank it.
Good mainstream rock, and that is not a bad thing. These guys were so on point to continuously deliver catchy rock songs in the era of diminishing returns that grunge was delivering by the mid 90s. I may be a prog rock snob, but this I can appreciate for the clever songwriting and catchy hooks.
Great tune! ...Aha aha aha!!!

This band is so third rate.

They were a hot, versatile band. I dig this tune and all else I've heard from them.
Great riff!
Hey Bill! There is a new album! Why don't you play something from that one!
that's some serious driving music..
The two Rolands are the sons of a Georgia preacher, but as Ed explained, it's not a big deal. He writes what he knows...and he writes some killer songs! Yeah, spiritual, even... If you ever get a chance to see them live, do it! because they always bring the house down!

saw one of their shows in the late 90's and certainly had a sense that they where very spiritual, if not religious. But they where very relaxed about it, they had a very inclusive, fun vibe and it didn't bother me one jot.

An OK album but this song just always hits me as just.....well.....totally lame. It sounds so forced and phony.
Saw them in LA a few months ago - private concert for a hotel chain "party" during a global travel meeting - me and about 100 of my closest travel friends. Also, they were the first concert I ever attended - 1996 at the Bronco Bowl in Dallas. I *may* have fangirl'd out and told them that they were my first concert, they *may* have looked at me like a doofus.
OMG this is one of my most Favourite songs!!!!!! I'm like, is this Radio Paradise playing? (I just got home from work lol!) and....I see it is :-)

So, hey, let's add some real controversy -
I feel that these guys're Christians based on the themes in many of their songs, which prompted protestations by work colleague, whom couldn't imagine that something that he liked was infused with religious themes (here & there)... Any Takers on that (or anyone can remember examples) - this was something that happened when they first came out...
or (insert angel Emoticon - so, it's O.K. for Devil Imagery, but where's the little angle Halo?) :goodvibes:

Disagree with notes below -
Not Metal. Not Jam. This Rhythm guitar work's Right on Solid -
More like Cars, or other band driven by a Bass Player, but run through the Rhythm guitarist. Solid, skilled.

I hate heavy metal. I LOVE this. Go figure.
Being an early Metal fan, I'll try not to take this statement as offensive, because you OBVIOUSLY do not know what metal is

Wow, I don't enjoy this at all- a perfect "1."
ok, but the album cover is awesome.

I do however love their song, "Run."

This is hardly heavy metal... more like weak, 'pretty' hard rock. Easy for me to figure this out for Lazy8 in that regard. For those that can happily tolerate this hybrid, enjoy.
For me... :-&
Geez, some listeners are comparing them to Kiss, some calling them a hair band...If you don't label them metal then the catagory's average drops quite a bit.
Thanks for the clearing that up for me!
This band is dreadful !!!

HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE THIS TUNE?!?!?!? Listen to how uniform the guitars are...talk about synchronous!!! This is an incredible song. Met these guys in Boston (in a club behind the Green Monster)...and they were just as cool as their tunes. Keep rockin'!
Tell it!
Ya gotta LOVE the CS, it's a 9!
uh-huh, UH-HUH, uh-huh...
Collective Soul. What a joke.

This clearly is not heavy metal.

Wow, I thought for a moment I had a Clear Channel station on. Not that I don't like this song....
Just a good, trashy jam. Nice guitar pickup.

This song has such an 80s groove to it... it\'s almost hard to believe it was written, recorded and made a single in the 90s.
Anyone?

This is gonna be one of those songs we look back on 5 years from now as rotting our brains. Will not age well. We recommend you drink it now, perhaps with a nice steak tartar.
WTF? Is this Kiss?
This band has had far FAR better tunes.
They sound so dated too. Some bands have that narrow window of time where they sound good, then it just sounds tired. Collective Soul is one of them.
Not sure how these guys sound 80\'s at all (\'cept the guitar solo)
Sounds straight out of 1994 to me... just not the best quality 1994 stuff. Man, things really went downhill after that. Woodstock \'94 was the final great rock musical event. While the great stuff from the 60\'s through the 70\'s faded away slowly, the 2nd great period of rock... the early 90\'s... seemed to go away overnight :(
Maybe BMRC, The White Stripes, The Hives, The Strokes and all these Velvet Underground Wannabes that seem to keep popping up can save us...
RE: Collective Soul... Strange... these guys were quietly one of the best selling rock acts of the 90\'s. Not one of my favorite... but better than just about anything on FM today.
Why do I feel so guilty liking this song? Who cares!
Well Dick,
It\'s got a good beat and you can dance to it!! :D :p

yeah, i like this band a lot. i was surprised they didn't have more success.
