And  after I picked my jaw up off the floor, I watched it two more times. An amazing performance, much better I think, than his studio work (which is still great).

Maybe you didn't stick around till the end....Jake kicks ass on this....though a few Monday's ago at work, one of the customers (an older Hawaiian dude) took out his Ukulele and serenaded the entire building with true Aloha spirit, so based on that memory and how bad as Jake gets on this, I'm going +1 to 8...LLRP and Aloha!

The fall-winter catalog for the University Musical Society finally arrived this morning.  Jake is playing venerable Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor on Nov. 19.

The blurb promoting his appearance says that Jake collaborated with Alan Parsons on this album. Good company.

Please please PLEASE no more.   While My Guitar Gently Weeps comes on just about every time I tune in.   It's doing my head in because it's not THAT good, and it's driving me away.  Only pop stations play the same songs so often.   Pleasey please tone the rate down!{#Arghhh}

Used to feel the love for this one but its getting old fast.

The percussion and other stuff that joins halfway through ruin it compared to him playing it solo in a park somewhere (where I first saw it on youtube).

It's very nice and enjoyable. I'm rather over the original. This is a nice remake, fun, and the recording is excellent, great dynamics, sounds  great. And a great change of pace to listening ears. The composition is nicely formed. Hard to understand the negative comments, but to each their own. Then the next song... SRV Sky is Crying! Again, you have to appreciate the change of pace, particularly on the ears (and soul). RADIO PARADISE IS HEROIC - LOVE YOU GUYS!

Just saw Jake Shimabukuro at the Music Instrument Museum last night 11/15/2012.  If you EVER have an opportunity to see him THEN DO IT!!!  It was a breathtaking performance.  He is an absolute Master on the instrument.
