And I feel a river rushin' in between you and me
And you keep on lookin' for something that's not lost
And I wish that somehow I could carry you across
Why don't you rest your worries darling one, sweetheart?
Why don't you rest your worries darling one, sweetheart? Sweetheart
When they told you that the great parade had long since passed
I saw you waiting there for the good times to come back
I'm feelin' blue 'cause there's so much to live up to
And I wish that somehow I could give it all to you
Why don't you rest your worries darling one, sweetheart?

Blues by numbers ?
Saw them in a small club 12/31/2019 just before the lockdown in a small club. Spectacular! One of the last shows I saw before the lockdown, glad I did.
Me too! Half Camper VB songs and half Cracker. So good!!

below 8.
Agreed.
Any rating below 8 would indicate a genuine lack of good taste in music.
The songs creep up on you after a while. Seems I like most of what Cracker does per RP streams.
....and didn't hesitate long to rate 8!
And that´s the main reason I don´t like it. Had to scroll down (a lot) to see if the similarity had been noticed before.

Aged? This is their latest.
Never heard of Sweet, but I dig the guitar on this.
wow, you've never heard of matthew sweet? interesting. check him out...esp if you like guitar. good stuff.
Yep. Good ole' American Rock-n-Roll...and they said it was dead.
What?? The Hives?? I like the Hives a lot but Cracker doesn't sound anything like them.
Uhm, would you believe a slower-tempo, less thrashy, less distorted Hives?
You're right, I went and listened to Veni Vidi Vicious again and really the only similarity is, possibly, on "Hate To Say I Told You So."

Sweet! I'll definitely keep listening.
Ever since Kerosene Hat, Cracker CDs have been ho-hum/ok.
Excuse me - this is riduculous!
I say that in my best behaviour,
friendly and non-aggressive!
Still - RIDICULOUS and sorry, no,
this is not a matter of taste!!!
What a lovely, real and truely authentic
GREAT-GREAT US band!
Have to hear it again —- there's a "newness" to it that I'm tryin to figure out.
Ever since Kerosene Hat, Cracker CDs have been ho-hum/ok. But this CD has blown me away. What a come back. Best roots rock-n-roll I have heard in a while.

Sorry you feel this way. I know the singing leaves something to be desired, but the song writing, guitar and overall instrumental arrangements are awesome.
Bill please play St. Cajetan (sp?) from the eponymous album — I defy anyone not to like Cracker then!
Yeah, good song.
Totally. After about a dozen listens, that guitar intro just reached out and grabbed me by the throat! Kewl.
Give it a chance.. it will definitely grow on you!
