Well there's a ruckus on the levee
Unruly crowd on the courthouse steps
And if I make it to Sunday
I'm sho'nuff going to ask the good lord for help
With a mouthful of salt, I tried to explain
If money was sand, I couldn't hold one grain
Feel like a thief that knows he's been framed
For leaving the watch but stealing the chain
Good morning captain
I wish there was another way
But my baby is wantin'
Me to roll around in her bed all day
Well the late night's got me reeling
Spilling out the bottle right into the next day
Got a funny little feeling
Gonna be like this until my dying day
There's mud in my eye but I can still see
Everybody in town is trying to murder me
If they don't get me, s'pose the hangman will
I better think twice about making this deal
Good morning captain
I wish there was another way
But my baby is wantin'
Me to roll around in her bed all day
Magnolia, magnolia
Let me rest under the shade of your leaves
Good morning captain
I wish there was another way
But my baby is wantin'
Me to roll around in her bed all day

I am hearing Little Feat..and, yes, the voice is Levonish, but not Levon's.
Great stuff. Any chance of hearing some of the fabulous Chris Robinson Brotherhood on here please?
Guess I like this better than most. Gave it an 8. Not my favorite song but so glad to hear The Black Crows on RP. Thank you.
YEEEAAAHHH!!! More Crowes!

The crowd LOVED IT. Great show.
We need more Black Crowes here. Too bad they are gone.
And for the record, I saw Chris Robinson solo acoustic in San Francisco spring 2017, then Magpie Salute (Rick Robinson + other Crowes) in October 2017 in Jacksonville.
To compare the shows:
-Chris Robinson: bitched at the audience between each song, was overall very out of it and not trying to hard. Totally phoned it in.
-Magpie Salute: first class effort, great sound and great band live, to me Rich Robinson is the Black Crowes.
So go see Magpie Salute!

This album, compared to their earlier ones, took awhile to grow on me; once it did, it was like moss on the north side of a tree! Jamrock

Sounds so much like Levon Helm. A lawsuit might be possible. Or maybe it just honors a legend. Levon would probably approve.

OK, just thought of something... Only 4 songs in the rotation? RP should play more BC.

These guys just don't do it for me. Never have.
I recently saw the North Mississippi All Stars at a free concert. Talented musicians, for sure, but I just could not get into the actual music or the show. I didn't know anything about them, so I looked up some info on my phone and sure enough, "Luther Dickinson, recently of the Black Crowes". And there you go... Just not my thing.

I didn't like this song the first time I heard it (long, boring explanation deleted), but now, I'm really taken with it. The Crowes, for all their sibling-animosity and egos, come through in the crunch, and for me, this song proves it.

Glad you finally saw the light with Porcupine Tree!!! Welcome to the fold. Oh, and I like ALL CAPS. It is expression and who knows, maybe you're an engineer/architect at work who forgot to turn them off. Wouldn't be the first time for me.
