I'm snowed in and my batteries dead
flights delayed and my friends were late
then you forgot to wind your watch
don't forget to watch out when you wind me up
It just wouldn't stop
I couldn't even love, the handle stuck
I just gave up, I got left behind
I thought that you were right
searching in devise how could you spin me your love's- lies
And I'm hanging on 'cause I wanna
and the feelings gone but I got to
and I'm hanging on 'cause I wanna
and the feelings gone but I got to
Miling hearts and my broken arm
the train blew up and I'm feeling fucked
we ran away until we reached the states
the night became a darker shade of purple gray
bush fire in my phone lines
no man's land that wasted spacin in
the lights went out and the voices shouted
(Get on the floor)
black bagged me then they dragged you screaming out the door
And I'm hanging on 'cause I wanna
and the feelings gone but I got to
and I'm hanging on 'cause I wanna
and the feelings gone but I got to
'cause I wanna
but I got to
'cause I wanna
but I got to
Machine guns, Afghanistan, ('cause I wanna)
our micro ways and pepper sprays,('cause I got to)
a poison dart and throw your stars
strike my heart and leave me lying in the blood

Loving this RP-discovered album - was playing in the car on the way in this morning
hooked from the first listen a few years ago. glad it's still being played on RP.

I have to say, this builds to an incredible intensity, and has genius-level layering of powerful guitar jamming and propulsive drums!
Fantastic snare drum sound.

Thank heavens for RP for introducing me to all the music I missed.
Oh dear... Momma Sed by Puscifer came on and the first thing I thought was: 'Wow, this sounds really really cool, it makes me think of that one song... what was its name again?'
And then, of course that song gets actually played afterwards. Hanging On by thenewno2. I love RP so god damn much. Thanks Bill & Rebecca!

Of course, the other context is "The New Sh!t" which is fine, too.
This is such an awesome show!

Bumping to a 9, this has such a deep groove. The video is pretty cool too. Wish they still made music
Rock!
The new elevator sound?
Wait!
Do they even use elevator music anymore?

I hear BRMC! Which is not bad at all.
The lyrics shown currently are a bit wrong. These are better, but I'm not sure if they got everything right either: Hanging On Lyrics (at Metrolyrics)
Unplug everything now. (except radio paradise) Camel Walk, Song 2, now this. Brilliant. I wanna, but I gotta.
Sounds a bit like Bernard Sumner and Johnny Marr's Electronic to me...

Keeps making think of Ween - Roses are Free.
Like it. Yet another RP discovery. And based on comments, I take it this is George's son? Way cool. Had no idea.

It just wouldn't start, I couldn't even love
The handle stuck, I just gave up
I got left behind, I thought that you were right
Such a mean device how could you spin me all those lies?
And I'm hanging on 'cause I wanna
And the feeling's gone but I gotta
And I'm hanging on 'cause I wanna
And the feeling's gone but I gotta
Iron heart, and my broken arm
The train derailed, I'm feeling failed
We ran away until we reached the States
The night became a darker shade of purple gray
Bush fire in my phone lines
A no-man's land, wasted space and then
The lights went out and the voices shouted
Black bagged me then they dragged you screaming out the door

Strike my heart and leave me lying in the gutter

This is Dhani Harrison (George's son) for those who don't know....I heard some of their stuff a couple of years ago before it got promoted, and was really looking forward to it becoming more widespread.
Thanks, BillG!

So at a festival last summer, I'm watching Glen Hansard on a side stage, and after a sloppy, rainy day, in the middle of his set, the sun finally peeks out. And Glen, who loves to chat with his audience, starts playing a couple of notes from "Here Comes the Sun" and then stops and says something like —- probably shouldn't play that, makes me a little nervous to play it in front of the writer's son, and he looks over to the adjacent stage area, where Dhani and the rest of thenewno2 are waiting for their turn to go on. Cool moment, was kind of hoping Dhani would come out and play it with Glenn... but he didn't.
I know I'm being juvenile but...

This is brilliant along with other stuff I've heard from this album.
George would be very proud!
Wonderful to hear this new sound. Thanks, Bill for tuning the world on to this new artist. Great beat.

Hearing Prince
Really like their sound. And the slight George tang of his voice is agreeable to my ears too.
made me look, (again)
