I had a name but they took it from me
I was the man that I wanted to be
I had a place where I lay my head
They burnt it to the ground and the sky turned red

I had a life and a place in the world
I had a sweet talkin' wife and a beautiful girl
I know I'm never gonna see 'em again
Gonna tear the world up until I have my revenge
They took my life but it isn't the end
They put me in the ground but I'm back from the dead

I'm the World Ender, baby, and I'm back from the grave
They can run for their lives but they cannot be saved
I'm the World Ender, baby, and I'm coming for them
They put me in the ground but I'm back from the dead

You'll hear me howl in the light of the moon
That's how you'll know that I'm coming for you
Gonna find you alone in the dark of night
When the World Ender comes better run for your life

I'll never bleed and I won't ever age
I'll never feel the embrace of the grave
The fair and the brave and the good must die
I seen the other side of living, I know heaven's a lie
I'll tear through the night, and I'll raise some hell
Cause I'm the World Ender, baby and I'm back from the dead

Lord knows I should be pushing daisies
I was 6 feet down, but something raised me up
Sent back for to lift my curse
I'm gonna me a taste of some chaos first
Untied, gonna get little wild
Go screaming through the dark like a demon child
Close your eyes now, the light is fading
and the noise in the night is gonna get a little louder, baby

I'm the World Ender, baby, and I'm back from the grave
They can run for their lives but they cannot be saved
I'm the World Ender, baby, and I'm coming for them
They put me in the ground but I'm back from the dead...

Perfect timing. Unloading the dishwasher was never more fun.
Need to see these guys in concert. I stop what I'm doing every time this song comes up.

I swear it almost is. The soundtrack when Vincent Vega is rolling easy is essentially resampled for the song
Just can't take it...I give up.. white flag..they win

Yes, there is a fair amount of recycling of segments. It's rare to hear the same 4 in a row, but I'll hear combinations (that work together beautifully).

Yes, literally translated, it would be "white area," if we're being pedantic. But the show's English title is "Black Spot."
ETA: I know you don't know me, but I lived in France for a long time and speak the language very well.

Different segues listed in the comments - Johnny Cash & Beethoven. I think this one - Marie Boine's Etno Jenny  - works really well too. Same feel

Something badass that fits it, the way that True Detective Season One used Handsome Family's Far from any Road.

How About Westworld??
Instantly recognizable
For the Haters,
I guess you had to be there...
He has such a vocal character i thought it was Robert  Plant... exceptional.

Bill - great segue from Johnny Cash's The Man Comes Around into Lord Huron's The World Ender (love this band. This whole album is so well produced!!)
It's cause of song combo's like this that I keep listening to RP with great pleasure!

Another great segue from Super Furry Animals' Run! Christian, Run! to this song. I think that duo could be preceded by the song Go Outside by Cults (just to make it completely anvilicious).
I dig the twangy Country-haunted Rockabilly angles of this, and I love the almost Chris Isaak/ Elvis-style breathy vocals...Rockin' out!

Yeah. I thought it was The Boss which sound like AF at times. Check out the "Howah!": pure Bruce.
How can a song have both a Springsteen and "Secret Agent Man" vibe?

This sounds a lot like the music that was featured in the Franco-Belgian Netflix series "Zone Blanche" ("Black Spot" in English). It's a really good series and I watched it over a year ago (or did I? Time has no meaning in this COVID-19 era), so I can't say with certainty that this song was on the soundtrack, but it's definitely got the same feel as a lot of the songs on it.

(Def recommend the series. Two seasons so far. Six episodes each. Great soundtrack. Bingeable.)

Gotta love it
Lord Huron is one of my best finds on RP.  The real deal.
Bill, not zombie, vampire

My ex-girlfriend was so jealous of this guy's hair. No hyperbole, she was a little upset (at 50-ish).
Excellent music! Excellent song! Excellent album! 8

That would be Messer Chups...!

I'd call this Gothabilly :)
Ah yes! My favorite song from one of my favorite bands. Can't wait until we can see them live again!
Thank God for Radio Paradise. I feel a little ashamed for not giving more support,
I.m doing the best I can and hope my small donations help.
Would be a terrible thing not to be able to enjoy RP.
Thank you Bill ans Rebecca.

This evokes pleasant memories of my favorite psychobilly band, The Broadcasters, that prowled the NYC area in the '80s.

I swear I heard quite a similar tune in an extremely old British TV series called "Only fools and horses". Love this one anyway...
LOVE THIS BAND!!
This album, Strange Trails is especially excellent.
Keep them on frequent rotation Bill

I see what Bill did there. Nice.

I don't give too many songs I haven't known for decades a 9 straight out of the gate. From first listen here on RP this has rocked my socks... and I don't even subscribe to the whole zombie fascination. That said, I sure hope this is part of the soundtrack for the new Jim Jarmusch ' The Dead Don't Die".

Yeah, it's pretty cool.  It reminds me of a calmed-down version of The Cramps (if such a thing were possible), the way the singer does that hiccup and warble effect with his voice like Lux Interior did.

Strange Trails is absolutely one of the best albums of 2015, and this isn't even the best cut on the album.

Very nice song!
Great song from a good band with lots of potential. I saw them at the House of Blues in Boston this June and they were excellent.
Suggest you go see them if they come to your area. Play more of them for us, Bill.
Listen the wholE album, it is a good sounding honest new great band and lyricist, think they re gonna be bigger

Nice.

Not heard this before. Want to hear more soon. Excellent choice to follow Deep Purple.

Strange Trails is a strong album.  A good maturation of the work that led to it.  Has really held up for me.

I'm pretty sure this is being used for a commercial. Heineken maybe?

Yeah.....I do like it!
Wow
Love this one,
Thanks Bill
Kinda cool

Thanks Zoum... after thinking about it I'm pretty sure it was Lord Huron I heard.
Sounds like a great opening song for the thirth season of true detectives.
Me likey too! I want to dance, a bit inebriated, in a smokey room, wearing flats, like Umma. messy and gawky and sexy.
Heard this a bunch lately - Still not enough!!
