One can like or dislike something. Hate? How can people be so oppressive?
Hate should be used for only the cruelest of monsters.
Of course, I was once called 'hostile' for saying please once so is there little hope for humanity?
Back to Radiohead, I enjoy what they do but in some cases, a bit like a 'too smoky' scotch. I don't like licking a chimney, but a wee dram to experience the blend cannot kill me. ;-)

Possibly the most original and influential music in a generation. Not to everyone's taste but superb in my 'umble opinion

The sum of the parts is greater than the value of any individual piece...I dare say that Radiohead is a perfect example of creating a soundscape. Go beyond Thom's vocals and just try to take in the totality...it really is quite good...
This sounds like amnesiac era radiohead... perfect to listen to while lying on the floor with your eyes closed.

This group is soooo good because the arrangements are soooo good. The writing & production are great & diverse as well. Very appealing to most (like me) but not all.

I like the music that this group does, but i cant understand what he is singing, sounds like my kids being too lazy to fully articulate the words. if i read the lyrics slong with his singing i can understand what he is trying to sing but with out the written prompts i don't get the words.
I think the fact that Radiohead always polarise opinion here is evidence that they are actually very good. Case closed.

Thom Yorke is a genius. The 'Burn the Witch' track from this album is worth a spin.

I'm also put in mind of the late Lemmy from Motorhead, who said that Thom Yorke needed to 'cheer the feck up' (or words to that effect).
Radiohead's grown on me like fungus through exposure on RP and some numbers are halfway tolerable, and for sure the band itself is extremely good, but Yorke is one miserable metalfitter, right enough. I can't imagine listening to him for enjoyment. Maybe for catharsis.

Haven't heard this before. First few bars (before becoming very obviously Radiohead) this sounded sooo much like Elbow... Which is a very good thing.

"Present Tense" included in 2016 album "A Moon Shaped Pool" dates to 2008, and Tom Yorke first performed it in a solo set at the UK Latitude Festival in 2009.
