Clean shirt, new shoes
And I don't know where I am goin' to.
Silk suit, black tie,
I don't need a reason why.

They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

Gold watch, diamond ring,
I ain't missin' not a single thing.
And cuff links, stick pin,
When I step out I'm gonna do you in.

They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

Top coat, top hat,
I don't worry 'cause my wallet's fat.
Black shades, white gloves,
Lookin' sharp and lookin' for love.

They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

I'm still convinced that every girl's crazy for a guy who wears track suits everyday.

The earlier Blues ZZ Top is way better than the pop songs.  Would love to hear more of the Tres Hombres Deguello stuff

Love that older stuff too, but these "pop" songs are pretty darn good and a good time to remember.
Is every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man?

Give it a break, please. It's all good!
Three guys, two guitars. Like The Police.
How bout Master of Sparks
ZZ...zzzzzz
Probably the best song from ZZ Top's weak, dark period.
This still makes it an 8 for me.

The one is not the other. I've seen them live about twenty times, they played  everything.
RIP Dusty Hill

I was thinking "This is one I might not have expected here"  :-)  NOT that it's not a good song.

Deeply embarrassing...
Always brings a smile to my face!
This was unexpected on RP.
And now the kids would rather hear a song about grills, tats, booty shorts, and baggy pants that hang down to the thighs.

RIP Dusty 🤘

You know you love it yes you do!
I see you! You're jammin your air guitar and bass and drumming all at once while bouncing in your seat and it's turned up to eleven and you're loving it.
Ageless Boogie.
where is the 11 button on the rating scale when you need it?

LUFTMEISTER!
I saw them during this tour, summer of '83 at Red Rocks, with Eric Clapton, and while E.C. wasn't memorable that day, ZZ Top tore a Texas-sized hole in the sky, and we all had ourselves a rockin' time! This period of theirs was fun, but me, my brother, and our buddies all had the thrill to ride around with a buzz on listening to Jesus Just Left Chicago, La Grange, Tush, Heard It On The X, etc. on the FM radio!

Too Funny!
There’s a reason some songs are overplayed… They are good!

Used to love watching these guys on MTV, back when MTV played music videos. I am a child of the 80s.

Remember when the Legs video dropped, HOT!
You know you like this. Yes you do. Oh? Then why are you rocking and swaying like that? Eh?
RIP, Dusty.

Have mercy; been waiting for the bus all day!
Although I think "Blue Jean Blues" is my fave.

Gotta see this cover of this song if you want a good laugh. Keep your eyes on the drummer! Go in 40 secs to skip the intro .

Superb minimalism by Mr Beard. Love the crashes out on their own.

This was a great pick-me-up mid-shift at the ol' desk job! Makes me want to turn on my amp and start twanging those Billy Gibbons-esque double stops!
"looking for love gold diggers"\

Fixed that for you.
Another great track (apparently) only heard on the RP Rock Mix.  YES!!  This is the ZZ Top I knew as a kid, and while I never bought one of their studio albums, I did wear the 1s and 0s out on the Greatest Hits CD back in the day....and this one sounds great LOUD....Long Live RP and ZZ Top!!
why does Sharp Dressed Man remind me of Funky Town?
