It was this song that turned me onto the Bastards. Back in university my friend and were sitting in my bedroom, tripping on ecstasy and chainsmoking cigarettes and the song just hit me differently. We (or I at least) were drifting away to the music. I knew immediately that I had stumbled upon something very special for me. Their sound just hit the right spot for, despite the fact that I was very high and being at peace with the world. I fell in love with the band from there on out. Erika Wennerstrom’s songwriting and guitar play is what does it for me. If you like the guitar sound of this band, go check out Erika Wennerstrom’s solo records, too. She‘s the heart and soul of this band.

You had me at heavy syncopation and binaural guitar.
I love this so much! It was the first Heartless Bastards song I heard (thank you, RP!) and it led me off in search of others (which I found!). Also saw them live @Paradiso in Amsterdam a few years ago - was a great gig! Ended up sharing a smoke with the guitar player outside afterwards - cool dude!
