Reminds me of holidays in italy.. the coastline called Adria. Nice trip and singing here. Morning to saturday night dancing.
I guess this song confirms that I'm not a big Elbow fan -- because I like it!
It seems like very few Elbow fans care for it very much.

Feel like there is a lot of pressure on Adriana here.

just bumped this from 8 to 9...
I thought it was interesting, had potential, until that chorus came on and kept hitting me over the head.
For American fans (or anyone who travels to see bands), Elbow is touring the coasts and upper Midwest in fall 2025. I saw them in Birmingham, England, last year, and they were rockin!
I like this a lot. Shades of QOTSA to my ears.
Thank you Bill for introducing me to Elbow.
This rocks - Elbow still have something in the tank after all.
I'm curious who're Kamahl and Adriana they're singing about?
I really like ha ah ah ah ha ha ooh -part
I like it a lot. There were a few Elbow albums of late that just didn't work for me; too subdued, slow, quiet. Audio Vertigo this year returns them to the form I love best about them, and this song continues that well. I'll give it an 8.
This song is OK, but Arctic Monkeys Arabella is a more smokin' tribute to the woman of one's desire.
Different. Not sure if this is a new direction, or just a single. Yes, it doesn't sound like their older stuff (Seldom Seen Kid is in my top 5 all-time), but it's not bad in and of itself. We can't expect bands to stay the same for 3+ decades.
The jury seems to be out on this, but the chorus in particular is growing on me - getting echoes of Catherine Wheel and other shoegazers in that section at least.
Oh dear. I hope this doesn't represent some "change of direction", because in this house it's not falling on welcoming ears.
Feel like there is a lot of pressure on Adriana here.
First comment: nothing special compared to old glories.
