4am and the darkness cooks
And a photo falls from the hiding book
Adriana's face in a lightnin' flash
And to start is to drive and to drive is to crash this car

And it's happening again
It's all happening again
Oh, come on Adriana, come out Adriana
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana
Come out

She left her sculpture in the rain for me
Chewing tablets from Deuteronomy
And we took our corners in that stupid scene
Just so we could meet in the middle
And the van went up and the pavement shook
And she banged the drum and I wrote for luck
And the steel eyed girl with rain in her veins
Answered the phone and on the Sabbath rose again

And it's happening again
Oh, it's all happening again, oh
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana (It's happening again)
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana
Come out

It's all happening again
It's all happening again, oh
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana (It's happening again)
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana (It's happening again)
Come on Adriana, come out Adriana
Come out

I like it a lot. There were a few Elbow albums of late that just didn't work for me; too subdued, slow, quiet.  Audio Vertigo this year returns them to the form I love best about them, and this song continues that  well.  I'll give it an 8.
Qué ver en Córdoba
This song is OK, but Arctic Monkeys Arabella is a more smokin' tribute to the woman of one's desire.
Different. Not sure if this is a new direction, or just a single. Yes, it doesn't sound like their older stuff (Seldom Seen Kid is in my top 5 all-time), but it's not bad in and of itself. We can't expect bands to stay the same for 3+ decades.
The jury seems to be out on this, but the chorus in particular is growing on me - getting echoes of Catherine Wheel and other shoegazers in that section at least.
Oh dear.  I hope this doesn't represent some "change of direction", because in this house it's not falling on welcoming ears.
Feel like there is a lot of pressure on Adriana here.

First comment: nothing special compared to old glories.
