The queen of the Nile
She laid on her throne
And she was drifting downstream
On a barge that was burnished with gold
Royal purple the sails
So sweetly perfumed
And poor Mark Antony's
Senses were drowned
And his future was doomed
He was blinded by love
He was blinded by love
The Philistines paid
For Samson's blind rage
The secrets that two lovers share
Should never have been betrayed
He was blinded by love
He was blinded by love
Now it's no use crying or weeping
You better lock up your soul for safe keeping
Promise me
The poor Prince of Wales
He gave up his crown
All for the trivial pursuit of
A parvenu second-hand lady
So lovers beware
If you lose your heart
Careful now, don't lose your mind
Don't mortgage your soul to a stranger
Don't be blinded by love
Don't be blinded by love
Blinded by love, Blinded by love

The Rolling Stones are Wild Horses. And Mick loves the Slow Horses
May be the worst Stones-song ever. Unbearable.
Damned click track ruins what might have been a decent piece.
I felt compelled to log in just to register how very sucko barfo I find this song.
This is rather awful.
Perfectly decent effort from Mick and the band. The lyrics alone make it worthy.

Philistines have trouble perceiving simple beauty.
Decent little country ditty sung awfully by Mick. His voice could never handle straight sincerity or sentimentality very well. Have to laugh at the 9 and 10 ratings.
My normal distaste for the stones has only deepened hearing this awful song.
ick.

I am stunned by the number of haters. This is a good tune by a more than well deserved legendary band.

God have mercy on your wicked souls.

I agree. Not their best effort.  But not a bad song, IMHO.

from loving the Stones as a youth I now realise (middle aged) how little I actually like Mick Jagger's voice (in general) - they have written wonderful songs but his voice grates with me now ... just sayin, of course

Although it's difficult to do, I kinda have to agree.
They have better country songs, obviously, but it's still the Stones, so I enjoy it!

It's great that Bill finds some of the jewels in their later albums.

Well said
Sorry, has got to be one of the worst songs and singing I've heard, not just by the Stones, ever.

  Wow, tough crowd!
This one's definitely not gonna end up on any Greatest Hits packages, but I gotta agree with Cyclehawk; hearing a deeper track now and then is a nice change of pace.
Oh dear. Boring, embarrassing song by an over-rated band. 2/10

Merle Haggard is rolling over in his grave with that one...
Nice to know that legends can f-up, too.
As my friend joe1 likes to say, "This is fecking carp! "

Perhaps not one of their better efforts, but I do appreciate hearing something other the same old tired Stones stuff over and over again. Good to hear some of these more obscure cuts that never got heard unless you bought the cd. Please keep on playing some of these.
i feel the same as you cyclehawk.

Doesn't even sound like the Rolling Stones, does it? Ok, so the Stones can choose to go in a different direction if they wish, but why is RP playing it? Seems like this would get voted off the Review Channel.
Following the previous three comments I can only say ditto, ditto, ditto.....
this is pretty poor - especially for the Stones.
man, this is nasty!! :P
this is the worst rolling stones song that i have ever heard.

I like the Rolling Stones... most of the time. Not in this particular instance, however. :?
Ooh...this isn't good. He sounds drunk. I mean, like karaoke drunk. You know what I'm talking about.
The latest entrant in the dog-howling contest? *blech*
My least favorite on a really good album. Why this one?
