You can't see my eyes
You can't see my eyes
They don't see yours
Hear me when I say
I don't mind at all
It's the rain that I hear coming
Not a stranger or a ghost
It's the quiet of a storm approaching
That I fear the most
It's the pain that I hear coming
The slightest crystal tear, drops to the ground
In silence, when my love is near
Darling, when did you fall? When was it over?
Darling when? When did you fall? When was it over?
It's marching through my door now
The stony cold of lonesome
A bell tolls for my heart and then my lonesome song begins
It's marching through my door now
The stony cold of lonesome
A bell tolls for my heart and now my lonesome song begins
Darling, when did you cry? I couldn't hear you
Darling when? When did you cry? I couldn't hear you
I suppose it is the price of falling in love
I suppose it is the price of falling in love
It's the rain that I hear coming
Not a stranger, not a ghost
Of the quiet of a storm approaching
That I fear the most
It's the pain that I hear coming
The slightest crystal tear drops to the ground
In silence when my love is near
It's marching through my door now the stony cold of lonesome
A bell tolls for my heart and now my lonesome song will end
Darling when did we fall? When was it over?

Daaaarling!
Leigh's vocals are fantastic on this. And when she hits the chorus. Wow. Just a great song overall.

I suppose pretty much all music is fluffy if your point of reference is Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly.
I feel like the vocalist is the weak link with these guys...having been a fan of both Skinny Puppy (still have a cassette of them) and Front Line Assembly, its interesting to follow the progression. But it's a bit fluffy for my tastes...

Vocals are somewhat reminiscent of The Sundays.

Classic old favorite of mine. I'll always crank this one up.

Could very well be, though probably you are alone. I once heard a snippet of ELO's Mr Blue Sky in Out of Space from the Prodigy. But I lost it since.
am I alone in discerning a little sampling of a tinkly little instrumental snippet from the Doors' Riders on the Storm?

Since New Braunfels is the putout spot for canoers & kayakers, must be the effect of all that water.

Why did I think this was Metric?
I had no idea Nash had ever done stuff like this... excellent!

Good heavens, is it really a dozen years since I heard this first, here?.
Is this 3 1/2 hours long, or does it just seem like it?
Nice

Dreamy — the voice, the music, the arrangement, and the effect...I absolutely love it! Love what she does for Sixpence None the Richer, too...
When this album came out, I was walking through a furniture store and they were playing this cd and selling them, and I bought one, and have been listening to Delerium ever since. This album is still a big favorite.
..bittersweetness..
enchanting voice
weird... thought it was a Bjork song when it started...
It does go on, and then you think it doesn't; but it does
One of my most all-time favoritest tunages. Headphones on <check>. Volume 11+ <check>.
Wonderful.
Wonderful.

As background music I like it, but when I pay attention I find it too slick to be enjoyable.
This song is worth listening to just for the awesome bass track. This radio station is awesome!

Me Three. The Blu-ray is outstanding.
Not to say this isn't a solid 7.
I heard the same thing — within the first few notes I immediately envisioned immense black skyscrapers in the shapes of pyramids; tall spire chimneys spewing fire into the night sky; floating billboards and neon lights everywhere; and rain, oh so much rain. Then the rest of the song kicked in and the image disappointingly dissipated as quickly as it came.

Also this is a perfect opportunity to note how mazy and wonderful incense smoke looks in sunlight and lamplight.
The intro sounds like one of the pieces on the Bladerunner soundtrack.
This is such a great album. Leigh Nash is a wonderful vocalist as well..
This is one is my all time favorites. Love this and other Delerium albums. Great!
Love Delerium, especially this album.
This song is beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
I'm a Delerium and Front Line Assembly fan of the first hour (Delerium goes back to 1987 actually, FLA started around 1985). When Leeb moved his Delerium project from Dossier Records to Nettwerk (the last works for Dossier were "Spheres I & II" while "Semantic Spaces" was released almost at the same time in 1994) I got sadder and sadder about the direction he was shifting - from powerful and innovative (completely instrumental except for some samples) darkambient industrial to some shallow, almost commercial pop. "Chimera" was the last album I bought and ejected, very disappointed, after some tracks.
But on each album there are still some gems which make me indulgent - like this wonderful piece of music "Innocente" with Leigh's heavenly voice.
It deserves without doubt a 9.
well chosen segue from caravanserai bill
Started out a 6, then moved it to a 7 due to the guitar work.
I'm pretty sure that this is not the track from the CD. This one has more of a loose, flowing feeling and the vocals are much clearer. Not sure which one I like better.

*NOD HEAD*
I first heard this song when my little brother was going through his first serious break-up, and it just tore my heart out. :(
To answer another question below, the Sunday's lead singer is/was Harriet Wheeler, also a very lovely voice.
Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber are musical gods.
Opening sounds just like Vangelis from the Blade Runner soundtrack!

While Nash did vocals for Innocente, it was Liz Frazer on the Massive Attack track, Teardrop

great flow to this set of music, Bill.
there is a more upbeat version of this song that i think is better
I absolutely love this song. I've end up listening to it nearly every day, ever since I bought the CD a few weeks back. This (along with Matthew Sweet's "Daylight") is the best song on Poem.
Very nice. I too thought it sounded like Sixpence...imagine my surprise...I\'m a new listener and I must admit that I\'m hooked. Great job on the tunes. I am really amazed at the stuff that some \"big name\" artists can play that you don\'t get to hear on mainstream FM. Radio can be such a shame. Great job Radio Paradise! :)
