When you close your eyes, and you go to sleep
And it's down to the sound of a heartbeat
I can hear the things that you're dreaming about
When you open up your heart, and the truth comes out

You tell me that you want me
You tell me that you need me
You tell me that you love me
And I know that I'm right
'Cause I hear it in the night

I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep

When I hold you in my arms at night
Don't you know you're sleeping in the spotlight?
And all your dreams that you keep inside
You're telling me the secrets that you just can't hide

You tell me that you want me
You tell me that you need me
You tell me that you love me
And I know that I'm right
'Cause I hear it in the night

I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep

When you close your eyes, and you fall asleep
Everything about you is a mystery

You tell me that you want me
You tell me that you need me
You tell me that you love me
And I know that I'm right
'Cause I hear it in the night

I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep

Proof they are not a one-hit wonder.

"A Night Like This" was a great song that deserved more airplay.

I was, & I DID!  I am 68yrs old now. ...still dancing to it at my desk.  Thanx RP!
Proof they are not a one-hit wonder.
Great blast from the past! Thanks RP!

Glad to see this on rotation here: Great fun song, with superb baseline. Lighten up, people!
Love it. No apologies. Good times.
Dear Bill,
Please play it again. One of my favorite tunes from earlier days.
Best regards

I hate to be negative on my first post (hi folks!), but geeeeez. The worst song from an 80s throwaway bar band. \"What I Like About You\" was a classic catchy pop tune and still one of my faves from the era, but this is pure dreck. A big reason why one hit wonders should sometimes not be given a second chance. :)
The earlier made comments make me hesitate, but I wanna request What I Like About You anyway! :D

Uh, I think this is a little harsh and sweeping. Good music is good music (and that's subjective I know) and worth enjoying!
Cruel Bill, just plain cruel to play this...
yes, it\'s 80\'s and yes, it\'s lyrics aren\'t that great BUT this song has a GREAT groove, it\'s hard to sit still with a groove like this. Man, what a bassline!
This particular brand of 80s (Hall and Oates and the like) may be worth playing somewhere, but please Bill, not on RP!
Based on this songs rating, I guess RP listeners are not to fond of this tune. A little bubble gummish for my taste as well.
Great Tune - Fun to listen to
