Couldn't sleep so I went out walking
Thinking about you and hearing us talking
And all the things I should have said
Echo now, inside my head

I feel something falling from the sky
I'm so sad I made the angels cry

Tears from the moon
Fall down like rain
I reach for you
I reach in vain

Tears from the moon, tears from the moon

It just ain't fair this thing called loving
When one's still there and the other feels nothing
I would have done anything for you
I still love you, baby I adore you

All day I keep from falling apart
But at night when the sky gets dark

Tears from the moon
Fall down like rain
I reach for you
I reach in vain

Stop,
Stop haunting me
It should be easy
As easy as when you stopped wanting me

Tears from the moon
Fall down like rain
I reach for you
I reach in vain

Tears from the moon
Fall down like rain
But tears from the moon
Can't wash away the pain

Tears from the moon, tears from the moon
Tears from the moon, tears from the moon

This is mellow ?
This really got to me!
I'm digging everything from Sinead on this station. 10.
I was listening while working and thinking  - this is something I think I'd like to hear Sinead O'Connor do, she'd really put some soul into it.
I get up to look, and what am I disappointed to see?
Not her best effort.
Great Album! Don't miss the second one - "Extraordinary Ways".
And don't miss the wonderful original version of "Tears From The Moon" by the Belgian trip hop band Lunascape.
oh this is bloody hopeless, definately going for a while after this one, RP take a bow
MC
I like this song. Sort of easy listening but in a good way. To me it sounds like end of movie credit music. In fact the title, "Tears From The Moon"  could be a James Bond movie title! Come on, admit it. You like that idea....
I've heard this a million times but it really sounds good today ;)

oh come it it is a nice song

yes!
Brings to mind the drying of paint, political speeches, or perhaps the movement of glaciers. . .

This is one of the songs that got me started on Conjure One.

No one is making you listen to anything?

Good album, but the Poe songs are better.
This is where Sinead is her best, in a supporting role. The tunes she dose with Massive Attack & Afro Celt Sound System are good as well.

fingernails on a chalkboard for me too.
Sinead at her whiney/scratchiest
I like Sinead, but this track does nothing for me. I think all tracks played on RP should be outstanding for one reason or another - but I can't hear anything outstanding here.

How did this get past the LRC?
The strings have a sound remeniscent of that Sufjan Stevens tune , Night Zombies(?)
I dont know, maybe not.
YES, more would be good.
Anything with Sinead gets my vote

I agree this is a little cheesy and a weak attempt at deep. However, put Sinead's voice in something and I'll buy it. I'm a total sucker for her. And even if this isn't a monster work of art, it is catchy and pleasant. I enjoy it. Guilty pleasure, anyone?

Agreed. Sinead raises the level of work around her b/c her voice is fabulous. 8.

Meh. I'll take the stuff Sinead did with Massive Attack on 100th Window.
I miss the old radio paradise...

Madonna?...Ahhh, that would explain the tears. Otherwise, I like it too.

Oh come ON... of course, not many could deliver that sort of melodrama as well as Ms. O'Connor ;)

There isn't a thing in the execution of this track to forgive the painfully trite lyrics. Don't go looking for inspiration in your junior high poetry journal.

I like this little tune.

She has a voice you can spot to be sure
I would love to hear Sinead do something in Gaelic.

Hmm, what was that about "if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all"???

Meh.  Compared to the emotion she, er, emoted on her first few albums, everything she's done lately sounds to me like she's just phoning it in.
I don't care for the song or its production — but there's Sinead O'Connor's voice, always distinctive and passionate.  She transforms anything she's in!  {#Heartkiss}

She really gets around, doesn't she? Much to our benefit.

Pretty good song, but for me the intrusive overly repetitive drum machine or drum loop ruins it. FWIW
as much as this sucks it's still better than the original.
She just never quite got there did she, it took Prince to write her a song. Anything before and after that meant nothing! shame,...
ugh... this is terrible.

Funny, I thought it was Shakira.

Her voice ... yes. The song ... NO!!!

Same here bro. This is outstanding.

I don't understand french... so that means it's their fault. ( i love it! )Piss on my french teacher in high school. ( big fat "D" )
I have a "strong" weakness for "Celtic" sounds (put in quotes if I'm wrong about its home.) Sinead delivers the goods here.
Huh... I've only heard a remix of this. Nice to hear the original.

So True! That's what I've been saying for years about trigonometry!

there's a very nice compilation out of all of sinead's collaborations pictured here:
from a web discussion: ...ripping up of the Pope's picture was a dramatic statement against the Church. The statement was specifically intended for the Catholic Church in Ireland, which Sinead sees as an organisation which oppresses us all over here. It was also against the protection the Church has given to paedophile priests and how for the last 50 years it's been trying to sweep it under the carpet. American audiences condemn her, but they are largely ignorant of her background and the events in Ireland which have moulded her personality.
Sinead is so misunderstood, and I can sooo relate! I love conjure one, wish I could hear more.

If following GW is the right track, then maybe she is on to something

I'd like to hear what your source is if you wouldn't mind. Last I heard she was just being a mother in Dublin looking after her family. With the bastard media as always treating her like some sort of circus - rather than a real feeling human being. A little like you really ......

How'd they put it on SNL? The weird, cute bald chick.

the lyrics to this are just sooooo lame...
Liked it the first 400 times I heard it on RP. Wayyyy overplayed.
An OK song, but made much better by the presence of Sinead O\'Connor.
I like it a lot, the tune is simple and 80ish but very soothing.
Been a fan of Sinead since the first time I ever heard \"The Lion and The Cobra.\" Love hearing her voice in newer songs... keep it up!

Agreed.
I confess I enjoy this song more each time I hear it (daily on RP, I guess). Best work I've heard Sinead involved with in a few years.
I love Sinead\'s singing voice, but I\'m not so sure about this song just yet. that beat is just so simple (not in a good way) and \"Enigma-esque\", i keep on waiting for the 1992-style gregorian chant to break in. Sinead does kinda save it though, it seems.
