My love, your light, incantation
Struck stars like tears fall, the sequence ends
Downtime, godspeed, hear the way
They concede, the sequence ends and begins
Everything you think you know
Everything you think you know, you think you know
Blood ties, blood ties, the sequence ends

They concede, the sequence ends and begins

Blood ties, blood ties, the sequence ends

but W?
IMHO the construction of this song is sheer perfection. And Horace Andy is otherworldly!

LOL! I would add a LOT of others, but your list is cool!
Most influential artists ever
The Beatles
Elvis
Kraftwerk
Massive Attack
(I would include The Police in that list but I think I might lose some friends)

SUPERB!!! I never heard this tune before. I like other tunes by them, having first heard of them on RP Thanx RP!

This is awesome. I dig the deep trance (house, downbeat) or what ever you want to call this type of art. Definitly my choice of backgroud music for writing code. Bring on the Attack.

Holy shit. What an innovative group Massive Attack is.
I’m having a massive attack of positivity about this.
This is great. Throwback to the early years. Love it

Exactly. Thanks for saving me from having to type it myself.
I kept thinking this song would get better, you know-- maybe develop a beat or a tune or something as it went on, and on, and on. Then I realized that it just simply sucks from beginning to end.
Exactly. Thanks for saving me from having to type it myself.
ace.

Depth and complexity - and this from 2003!?
David Essex...Rock on hook
When it dropped, i gave it an 8
PSD saved my day! I bought this album when it came out, and initially didn't like as much as "Mezzanine" ... but upon further listening, it's pretty damn solid overall.
Incredible. 10

I can never decide with these guys. Just when I get comfortable with their sound and looking for some exploration, they move. I wonder what they could do if they stayed and developed more depth...

Agree with BikeCoachDave. Well worth revisiting. Thanks Bill!
Nice groove RP. As usual. Thanks.
This was definitely a song worth bringing back into the mix. Thanks Bill.

Curious. I think the same each time I hear the first recordings of, say, John Lee Hooker. That was more than half a century ago, this is less than a decade.
This being said, I'm still a big MA fan.
Still feels fresh today. Cool vibe.

This hasn't been played since 2003? Guess the new cd got Bill in the mood.

I think they did.... and it worked.
One of the few good things on this very marginal disc.
It\'s also decent headphone music. This one is my favorite non-Sinead track on the CD.

This is great programming music. Orb is my fav for that however. This guy\'s voice gets on my nerves - he needs to shut up. Good anyway.

Well.. I, for one, think you explained it quite well.
There are times when I don't listen to RadioParadise.. and its usually when I *need* that state of which you describe. A friend of mine calls it being in the zone. You've tuned in, turned up, and harmonized internally with the thought processes you keyed in for the task at hand.
Radio Paradise is by far the best station ever for all kinds of music, but one of the stations I miss the most from the initial CARP "crap" (anagram THAT you political bastards!) was BlueMars.org ... the absolute best in ambient and space tracks ever! While listening to them I could work without realizing time fly... The next best for my zone-ing is Sleepbot.com, while only at 56k, when DJ Dan is doing ambient beat tracks instead of just ambient... truely a slice of zone-in-pie! And I'm not just saying that because I relay for him!!
but again... I very much agree.. this track is excellent and fits well with some of the best of Orb, Orbital, The Chemical Brothers.. and others..
Happy Happy Joy Joy!!
If they played this song over loudspeakers in Baghdad, the Iraqis would surrender in minutes.
Sweet nothing?
Aaaaah, another Massive Album to purchase
as it started.. I immediately started searching my brain for who this might have been... some of it sounded like some depechmode or maybe some early cure redone... then when I saw massive attack.. I knew why... as is almost always.. a good tune .. different from tne norm, and an under pulse that moves from speaker to ear very nicely.
:)
It has a beat... and a tune too.
Another fine piece of work from the Bristol bunch
