The fact that this song was ever played on RP makes me so happy.  This album (produced by Jerry Harrison of the Talking Heads/Modern Lovers) is a desert island disc for me.  Once you get over novelty of the singer's voice and the quirky nature of the songs, this is an airtight album of cleverly crafted songs that reflects the last of the pre-grunge innocence of the early 90's.
From the low rating of this song and all the negative comments, I realize why I have not heard this song till now. I like Crash Test Dummies, and like someone said a little way down, they are a very unique band. I guess its an aquired taste. Oh well, I think that it adds to the greatness that is Radio Paradise. Keep up the wonderful work! :)
Agree with all the negative comments below, several of which were very cleverly expressed . . . I can\'t add more except for (no smiley seems perfect for that).
A particularly bad song from a mediocre-at-best group. However, for a fun song without the sedative vocal effect, try \"The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead\". The woman in the band sings lead. It helps alot.

What does it take to buy a song OFF the playlist? I've got my finger sitting on my paypal account RIGHT NOW, waiting to contribute extra funds to get this horrid song off the list.
One MILLION dollars.

I must agree...never liked this guy's voice...songs are rather dull...

I actually like it. It's different, unique, recognizable, and find that to be a good combination. I have liked what CTD I have heard and wouldn't mind to being exposed to more

Something about these guys reminds me of They Might Be Giants. If you take them tooo seriously, you aren\'t gonna like \'em. Superman\'s Song is a winner, BTW.
Oh Lord. this man\'s voice gives me the creeps. Yuck.
So level with me sisters... THAT voice singing about \"seed in your soil\" ? Well, it sure gives me the vapours. Wonder if mine would do?... Actually I was just planting a huge strawberry pot... got potting soil under my fingernails. I could listen to that man read from the dictionary.
a great mind once said: \"Stop... in the name of all that which does not suck.\"
Bought the CD, listened a few times and put it away (somewhere)...this song reminded me why.
There is so much that is wrong with this song. Tamborines and strings !!? what a horrid combination.
So that's what singing while constipated sounds like. ;)

Uh, no. :(
Typical CTD drivel. How did these guys ever get a recording contract? Just awful.
I really can\'t stand this guy\'s voice.
