Wonderful!Awesome commentary on many (most) Americans...the enemy of fulfillment! (and an awesome song and album overall)
1970s- 1980's - the sound reminds me of Gentle Giant...
Oh, gosh, this CD stayed in my officer computer for ages.
A wonderful band, sadly neglected.

Brilliant song from another one of their classic albums. The lyrics of XTC's music are more timely than ever now. Check out 'Books Are Burning' from Nonsuch or 'President Kill' from this album for relevance in our troubled times or 'Knuckle Down' from English Settlement.

Never noticed it at the time how similar the vocalist in XTC sounds to Peter Gabriel in the 1970's Genesis era.
Both great but PG has developed and matured - unfortunately Wikipedia has a long story of difficulties for XTC since the mid 1980's.

Yes! I was thinking the same thing but couldn't name the KB song. It's largely down to the male choruses in both songs, I think.
They're both waltzes.

Reminds me in a way of Kate Bush's "Army Dreamer"...

Ladies and Gents, I have this Peter Max-designed album cover on my wall!! Gorgeous colors and shapes (if you like the art of Peter Max)!
XTC - more please!
There is some great stuff on this album. This is not one of the better ones, IMO.

Huzzah for another lesser known XTC - wohoo!
