It's astounding
Time is fleeting
Madness takes its toll
But listen closely (Not for very much longer)
I've got to keep control

I remember doing the Time Warp
Drinking those moments when
The blackness would hit me
And the void would be calling
Let's do the Time Warp again
Let's do the Time Warp again

It's just a jump to the left
And then a step to the right
With your hands on your hips
You bring your knees in tight
But it's the pelvic thrust
That really drives you insane
Let's do the Time Warp again
Let's do the Time Warp again

It's so dreamy
Oh, fantasy free me
So you can't see me
No, not at all
In another dimension
With voyeuristic intention
Well-secluded, I see all

With a bit of a mind flip
You're into the time slip
And nothing can ever be the same
You're spaced out on sensation
Like you're under sedation
Let's do the Time Warp again
Let's do the Time Warp again

Well, I was walking down the street just a-having a think
When a snake of a guy gave me an evil wink
He shook me up, he took me by surprise
He had a pickup truck and the devil's eyes
He stared at me and I felt a change
Time meant nothing, never would again
Let's do the Time Warp again
Let's do the Time Warp again

It's just a jump to the left
And then a step to the right
With your hands on your hips
You bring your knees in tight
But it's the pelvic thrust
That really drives you insane
Let's do the Time Warp again
Let's do the Time Warp again

Our local theater (live shows, not cinema) replaced all the seats about 5 years ago. The last show? Rocky Horror. People could do/bring/throw whatever they wanted, because the next day the seats were coming out and the carpet got pulled up. What a blast.

I agree the movie wasn't that great but Tim Curry was memorable and Susan Sarandon was just plain hot.  Still is, actually ....

Oh yeah ... some of the music in the movie, including this tune, was really catchy, and for me at least it's an absolute hoot to go to a wedding or something and watch people 7 to 70 dance to this.

It's forgotten that this movie was released about 1975, only a year or two after Nixon resigned.  At the time, the flick was groundbreaking.  Comments like this suffer from it being possibly the most overexposed piece of entertainment since Sophocles.  And, yes, Susan Sarandon was waaay hot.  Gave it a 9.
yeah!
oh... bless you PSD button !

You haven't lived until you've gone to a bar mitzvah and watched a bunch of middle aged Jewish people  doing the Time Warp.

I don't know if I ever might get a chance to live then - - but hey, thank you for that HUGE LAUGH you just gave me!

ACK! I was on the phone! {#Yell}

I so want to go to a showing this year, but it's a real pain to get down to Freakfest, which is a huge deal, nationally, actually, in Madison, WI, on State St. The theater where it is shown is in the midst of the revelry and you can't throw things. No fun.
Hahahah, truly eclectic.  Awesome.

Happy Halloween!

I love that Bill only plays this song on October 31 of each year.  There's something to be said for consistency.

"Meatloaf again?"
Memories of Midnight Movie Madness every Friday night.
Meatloaf, again?
It's just a jump to the LEFT! (US politics too!)

Well, of course. Remember when you were still allowed to throw rice during Brad & Janet's wedding?

You mean we can't do that now?  Can you still take a bong hit in the theatre?
You haven't lived until you've gone to a bar mitzvah and watched a bunch of middle aged Jewish people  doing the Time Warp.

Ahhh *sniff* memories! Right, Marr? *dabs at eyes*
Yes, I had to get up and dance the Time Warp in my cubicle. Seeing as I'm already the only one dressed UP for Halloween, I have all the strange looks as it is. What's a few more?!

Are you out there Kristi? Hope you're dancing in your chair like I am.
love it...was on last nite

We stick to the chicken dance in this part of the country.
Sorry, but this has no place on RP or anywhere else for that matter. Utter dreck as is the stupid musical it comes from.
Thank You Bill!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Halloween to you both. This sure gets me in the mood to go to my class on Horror Films. Great!!!!!!!!!!
Tim Curry was one sexy transsexual transvestite!

Fun! Once a year is just about right.

Now we're talking -- rating is irrelevant -- you gotta LIVE it again and again and again and....

Oh no! Not this! We'll be back in a little bit when it's over.
YES! Let's do the Time Warp again!!!!
I would give this a , but I'll make it a as it pisses off the bigots. (Needs smiley perfoming said Time Warp...)

I disavow that sentiment! Let's not mix up musical taste with personal prejudice.

I think that would freak me out more than the movie did.
It's like....something from the musical Hair meets Jerry Lee Lewis.
So much fun to hear this.
Once a year is enough for me, Happy Halloween!
INSAAAAANE!
Great stuff :D
I would like if I may to take you on a strange journey.
People who don't like this song have no sense of humor. (How's that for tolerance?!?)
YES!!!!!!!!
That is Susan Sarandon speaking her low range vocal parts, isn't it? She is one hot mama!! Fun tune that brings back so many memories.
It always cracks me up when I go to a bar mitzvah and all these straight laced people are doing the Time Warp.
I'd be so happy if I never heard this song again. Ever. Never could take it
YEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Thank you! Great mood music.
Hands on your hips?
Ah, a bit of fun. YAY!

Gimme a break. What a lame ass movie and soundtrack ...perfect for theater geeks though (which isn't saying much).

May the undead haunt you through infinity, and force you to do the Time Warp while wearing corsets, garters, fishnet and gleefully heavy makeup. (The rest of us will be having fun, watching this movie, listening to its music and dancing our hearts out - only FIGURATIVELY, of course!) P.S. This proud theatre geek performed this song as Magenta in a fabulous musical revue, back in 1998... 'twas quite fun and liberating!

Quite a lot of that musical is very much deserving.

It would be nice to hear the main theme as well yes? But When Worlds Collide, said George Pal to his bride "I'm gonna give you some terrible thrills," like a Science fiction double feature Doctor X will build a creature....
I love the whole soundtrack - 10
In the velvet darkness Of the blackest night, burning bright There's a guiding star No matter what or who you are
Oooh, I love Halloween!!! I love Frank N Furter! Thank you Richard O'Brien! And thank you Radio Paradise for playing this...fun times!!!
Fun! Pure joy.
