Demand your money back ..... and fcuk off
This reminds me of some of Joni Mitchell's work, the vocal overdubs that is. I've always liked that. Certainly not a controversial song, just a pleasant melody well performed. Very relaxing.

One of Tori's best.

This is a lovely song...  really nice...
She sounds less than good after Patty Griffin. I wouldn't have noticed if they hadn't been next to each other.
This was overplayed in Chicago on the radio when it was released, and it's quite refreshing to hear it again after a nice hiatus. Very sonically rich in my headphones here at work...very soothing! I've always loved her work.

Indeed.
I really like that song "Ribbons Undone" from this album.
Like this song best so far from the new album. Keep playing Tori!

Have to disagree here. No idea about the new album (yet), but Scarlet's Walk was a fantastic album -- and one of the more relevant post-9/11-America albums in my mind. The weakest Tori album so far has been the cover album, Strange Little Girls. YMMV, IMHO, and all that of course. That's not to say that the new album can't suck. We'll see... :)
I'll NEVER say Tori sucks. Even mediocre Tori trumps the dreck Joan Osborne and Cheryl Crow are pumping out these days. But the "Y Kant Tori Read" referrence earlier in the post thread brings up a curious question: Way back then, was Tori the helpless kid who couldn't see what the marketing guys were doing to her, or was the "Little Earthquakes" Tori just a more successful marketing ploy? Everything after "Boys For Pele" seems to be, although brilliant, another evolution of the Marketable Tori. Leaves a bad tastes in my mouth... not bad enough to not buy the new album, but still.

What? Don't like it? I think it's an OK song, but Tori is well past making anything "new" or "different".
Long story... See my other Tori posts, bad history. Tired of seeing her here.
I like this better than most of her material. She always has beautiful moments in her songs, but they tend to lack cohesion, and at times turn me off completely. While this is a tad light, it holds together well.

Not what I'd call resounding praise from anyone so far. As the biggest Tori Amos fan on RP who isn't a clinically insane man-hater, I'm very leary of whatever's going to pop up on this new album. "Choir Girl" seems to be the dividing line between cutting-edge, don't-give-a-fuck Tori and adult-alternative radio, very-much-care-about-selling-records Tori. There's just no going back now.

I agree - she seems to have crossed that .....must....sell....records......line somewhere along the way, and has started to "dumb down" her songs and arrangements. Sometimes simpler IS better, but sometimes....not. This is one of the not times.

Yes, this is all good and well, but what I really want to know is Y Kant Tori Read?
Perfect example of some marketing guy at a record company (definitely unemployed now) saying, "I've got the PERFECT idea for how to market Tori to the world!"

Heh. Itchy trigger finger on that '1'. Not bad. I like the sound of her newer stuff. I'll give it a '6', for now.

Meh... It's OK. I've heard much better from her though.
