Boy, that's beautiful...a wonderful backing track for a foggy autumn morning...
Love this song—my grands sang it to me when I was little. His version, though soft and elegant, is a very touching take.
I get that it might not be for everyone...but I find this song rather amazing

Please consider skipping this song next time... The artist is good, but this song can hardly be considered as serious "music" overall.

Work of art.

Love this version!!
Caetano's vocals are sublime on this one, a remake of a Mexican song from the '50s. Almodovar is clearly a fan for having him sing it live in his film "Talk To Her".

Eu pagaria de bom grado um imposto de Caetano para financiar artistas como ele.

caetano was my most listened to artist on Spotify in 2022. Talk about a musical pedigree. This gentleman has it in spades.

I would gladly pay a Caetano's tax to fund artist like him.
I really like this version of the song, without the little up-tempo parts.
Eh no.
Thank you, William.
Exquisite.

This particular song's in Spanish though. But I'm going to listen to CoJo's advice and do some explorative listening of those albums.

I was wondering if I'd ever hear this fabulously talented artist here on RP... I got turned onto him around '91 by someone who'd vacationed in Brazil and brought back tapes of his music. A lot of his early stuff was very experimental, pushing the bounds of what technology could do for music. Some of it was apparently politically and religiously controversial enough to the repressive government in place at the time to get him exiled. He spent some lonely years in London making his wildly unique music and missing his beloved Bahia, before finally being allowed to return. I was lucky and blessed enough to see him perform at the exquisite Yurakucho Forum in Tokyo, and he blew us all away, even doing a cover of one of Nirvana's most popular songs. His voice seems to transcend all normal range, and his instrumental virtuosity is something to see. All of his works are superb, including his collaborations with fellow Brazilian Gilberto Gil, but a good place to start is with the amazing albums titled "Joia" and "Muito," from 1975 and '78, respectively. Bravo, RP, for showcasing true greatness in The Musical Universe!

Nice version. Didn't heard before.
I like it much more than the mexican style one. Way more known than this one.

Caetano Veloso performs this song in the movie Talk to Her. Fantastic scene in a fantastic movie.
Wow, now that was nice
