Is it me, or is this song in the RP version of heavy rotation (once a day)?
Didn't think so then, (2008) still don't.
"I kissed your...what?" I must be going deaf...
LOL! Too funny!
Apparently the artist name has confused RP's wikipedia lookup...
...but perhaps more important than the band info.
"I kissed your...what?" I must be going deaf...
The line from the Simon & Garfunkel song is, "I kissed your honey hair," which I think they sampled all of (though the end is faded softer). Later I think they play a sample of the line, "Clothed in crinoline."

Wait a minute now. What do you think it said?
This makes me want to dance with my wife.
Actually, most music makes me want to dance with my wife. . . but this in particular will get me sidling up to her and getting a shimmy on.
Ha, the last time you guys played this for us on RP (about a week or so ago) you had played Simon and Garfunkel's "For Emily" just prior to it.... Then this tune started up and it kept skipping back to "For Emily" and I seriously thought RP was having a very weird technological glitch. That was awesome. Really had me there.
Same sequence two years later (For Emily ... to Havana Blues) minus the glitch

I have had RP glitch on me before, but less than RP making me glitch myself :)
Thanks, Radio Paradise!
I just heard these two songs together for the first time. First for Havana Blues too. Liked them together. Liked them apart. RP keeps me comin back.
There is no appropriate musical comparison of them.
Now learn how to play an instrument like musicians do.
There's a bit more than that going on here.
You think George Martin just twisted a couple knobs and cashed a check?

Why should that be required? That might take the fun out of it. Anyhow, all of the members of this band play musical instruments.
Thanks, Radio Paradise!

No matter what you say (and I agree with you), this is just such a happy tune I cannot agree with you. I love it.

Hope and Fred Scheider spring eternal:
Oh wow, I never noticed the S&G song this song is sampling until BillG put it just before this one.
In my own defense, I only ever heard that song as a tiny child.

I think this comment went with the wrong song...it's the lime & the coconut song

same things happen to me with a few stuff here at RP...
this one is borderline but still get positive vibes from it
edit: Yes, I thought it might and I was right.
edit: Weird: like it today. What's going on?
"Gay" meaning "happy?"
I would call that a worthwhile listen then possibly? ! lol..I hope in a good way
There you go! Great ears. I will try it out, thx

Now that's real Art.
I thought it was Paul Simon, but it's one of those two for sure tho.
Lovely example of using a sample to accent a song rather than building a song around your samples.
They're sampling Art from "For Emily, Wherever I May Find Her"
What a dream I had
Pressed in organdy
Clothed in crinoline
Of smoky burgundy
Yes, me too exactly.

Ha! You very funny, make me laugh long time!
Sorry. Don't think he's stopping it with an average rating of 6.8.
For me, the song is now forever defined by the following. Thanks, devex.

Thanks. I wasn't aware of this site.
Leave it to Bill G in his wisdom to soothe us with Sade and Namaste after punishing us with Ozzy!
This took 12 people? Oh yeah, socialism provides work for everyone!!
I think you will find that Poland is no longer a socialist state in the sense you imagine. In fact it's been free of soviet control since - oh about 1989 or thereabouts.
Oh - thanks - I have been trying to track this down
A nice visual grooove - with weird but interesting bodies. Can he shoot the 3?
