Interesting chord choices.
As the uploader of this one, I'm interested to see the response so far is all over the map. Personally, I think it's quite a nice jaunty little tune (blah? I don't get it). To me it even sounds slightly nautical. If I squint, I can see Victorian sailors doing a jig on the deck.
I'm happy to have any BSP song make it to the main channel, since all previous uploads by me and others (better-known songs) were rejected. They're pretty eclectic in style, both retro and modern, full of different influences, but tending to great hooks, epic anthems and quirky lyrics. I think their name is just right for who they are: an original, romantic, eccentric, very English band. "Totally wicked and equally ace" as the lyrics say.
You'd think a band called "British Sea Power" would sound, oh, I dunno, a bit more nautical, if nothing else. I hear the phrase "British Sea Power" and I get all fired up for a good rockin' cover version of "Rule Brittania" or at least "I am the Captain of the Pinafore."
I'll see your blah, and raise you a blah, blah. That makes blah, blah, blah to call...
