Lord help to send a man
In this land
Oh Lord help send a man
In this land

When we all die together
And we face the rising sun
Oh my Lord, oh my lord

Lord Help the Poor and needy
In this land
Oh Lord Help the Poor and needy
In this land

When we all die together
And we face the rising sun
Oh Lord, help, my Lord

Lord help the human race
Lord help human race
Cause we all die together
And we face the morning sun
Oh Lord, help

Lord help the motherless children
In this land
Oh Lord help the motherless children
In this land

Cause we all die together
And we face the rising sun
Oh Lord, help, Lord

i love this - so great to hear just after PJ Harvey's You Said Something from my My Favorites mix today on RP. love it!
Oh Lord help the human race
Lord, please help us all. The rich fancy folks may need you more than the poor. But we all face the same fear right now. Please UNITE.

wow! good call, musickat!
Ahhhhhh..... the cinnamon girl!
She sounds like a female Ray LaMontagne on this one.

Yikes, today also. Yo, Bill, read your comments section and fix this.

In any case, less earthy.
One of the few songs on RP where I'm thinking "can it be over now, please?" I came in on the last minute, though, so maybe the first half has redeeming qualities.

Oh noes! Bill, you stepped on the end of Gillian Welch's Everything Is Free with this cut. Normally, I'd never notice - but your extreme high standards have made me think of perfection as commonplace. Yikes! While I'm writing, Al Green stomped on the end of this cut. Gotta be a glitch.

Nice, Bill - but you stepped on the tail of Gillian Welch - Everything Is Free. Not like you at all!

Chan Marshall performing at the 2007 Ottawa Bluesfest

sounds a little like Canned Heat
This is tedious music - outside of her emotional range.
Nice to hear Cat again.
Ah thanks for putting a little Black Sabbath on the LRC to get me past this junk.

New Title:  Obama is Helping the Poor and Needy.

Followed by Allman Brothers singing "Stormy Monday" ... Now there is a juxtaposition of songs.

Very early Jefferson Airplane-ish - I like it.

Lucky for us vivisign seems to have left the building. This was his one and only non-valuable comment on RP.  Bye bye {#Wave}

Liking this band more and more
By the time I looked up which of these women was cat and which was power, the song was over.  Too short!
At the beginning I thought that could be a nice blues-track. It isn't. But a great guitar-sound {#Bananajam}
Gotta be 8+ for just about everything by Chan Marshall.
She's just uncanny.  When I discovered Moon Pix it literally haunted me for days.  And I can't stop playing The Greatest for other people.

This song keeps tricking me—the beginning sounds a lot like the opening of "I think She Likes Me" by Mark Sandman's old band, Treat Her Right.

Thanks for ruining the song in a very, very funny way... cannot listen to it now without thinking about all the poor spices in my kitchen, and the lucky cinnamon between them {#Roflol}

Hey, dumbass' need more help than the sinner man in my book. Hmmmm, "Lord Help The Dumbass". There's a really good song in there somewhere. Thanks vividsign I'll be working on that one.

Though it's not a rave review, this I believe, is as good as it gets from our buddy Excelsior. WooHoo!
