And the whole world is on your case
I could offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love
When the evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one there to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love
I know you haven't made your mind up yet
But I will never do you wrong
I've known it from the moment that we met
No doubt in my mind where you belong
I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue
And I'd go crawling down the avenue
No there's nothing that I wouldn't do
To make you feel my love
The storms are raging on the rolling sea
And on the highway of regret
The winds of change are blowing wild and free
You ain't seen nothing like me, yet
I could make you happy, make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn't do
Go to the ends of the earth for you
To make you feel my love
To make you feel my love
There appears to be a segment of RP listeners who post scathing comments on any musical artist who achieves tremendous success on commercial radio and in the general public. These "elitists" mistakenly (from my perspective) place themselves on pedestals from which they can peer down at the masses of people who don't seem to know what qualifies as "great music".
NEWS FLASH! You listeners are the only ones who think you belong on those pedestals. Look at the ratings from other RP listeners if you dispute my assertion. Consider the fact that Adele was only 19 years old when she produced this album! To post that she is "talentless" is a very clear indicator that the finger you are pointing needs to be turned around.
Well said!!!

What do ALL talentless, non-song writing, overproduced vocalists do? Cover songs of course.
Shame on you Bill...you get it right 99.98% of the time (the other .1% is reserved for The Decemberists airtime)
Adele....please take your Grammy's, Brit's and undeserved trillions and go AWAY!!!!
Just seen this. Have you stopped foaming at the mouth yet?
I have been writing and performing for years... and it is my opinion that such an immense talent as Adele is quite rare. And she has on-stage charisma too. Really, I would say maybe once in a generation you run across somebody like her. Whitney Houston was the same way. Most performers are more like fashion trends; they come and go so quickly. God willing, Adele's style will last... she seems timeless to me.
I agree, 99.98%!
(and the only musical instrument I have any proficiency playing is my stereo.)
Wait, what? No William Shatner?
Would love to hear his take on this.

You can't even do basic arithmetic. 99.98 + 0.1 = 100.08.
Sorry. Sincerely.
So, you're the guy who reads that magazine. I don't think I've read more than an article or two from any issue of Rolling Stone since the 1980s.

...meanie!
I think you have captured my thoughts!
Let's face the music. She has attained stratospheric levels in the industry. Sure, we would have liked to see see Mumford and whoever sweep the Grammy's but it was her turn (again). Would you rather listen to Whitney Houston?
Tell it! Tell it!!!
Actually that was her age when she recorded the album. Pretty impressive if you ask me.
and then there's Adele.
Let's see...there are cover versions by Yearwood, Garth Brooks, Billy Joel, Adele and something tells me that's the only the beginning. Who else has covered this song? And to think, it's only been around for 14 years. Dylan continues to amaze.
"Make You Feel My Love" has also been recorded by Joan Osborne, Josh Kelley,> Neil Diamond, Shawn Colvin, Luka Bloom,Timothy B. Schmit, Ronan Keating, Winifred Horan (from Solas), Emily Loizeau, Bryan Ferry, Elkie Brooks, Ruarri Joseph, Mary Black, Phil Keaggy, Bill Evans, Taylor Hicks, Jon Peter Lewis, Kris Allen, Maria Muldaur, Louise Setara,, actor Jeremy Irons, Kelly Clarkson and Rebecca Ferguson.
Well done Mr. Dylan, well done.
Above taken from the wiki article, interestingly enough Billy Joel's cover, was released 2 months before Dylan's.
I know, right? Isn't it funny though obviously Adele has a thousand times better voice than Dylan, but this version is boooooorrrrrriiiiinnnnggg and it is awesome when Dylan croons it poorly. Such is the strange thing with music.
I think it's got less to do with music and more to do with the emotions (or lack thereof) being conveyed.
I hate to admit it but I think Trisha Yearwood's version is the best out there.

Agree. I like Joel's rendition the best. The only emotion I get from this version is her determination to groan/sing like any number of other pop-vocalists. Adele has MUCH better music than this.
i like Dylan's version. Straight to the heart.
just my take...Billy Joel does it best.

Well, if you have a problem with the lyrics, take that up with Bob Dylan - they're his.

"I'll hold you for a million years" - yeesh! I've told you a million times not to exaggerate ;)

I saw her perform in Paradiso in Amsterdam last april, and I can asure you she has a very powerful voice. She sings with great ease whether it's the slower intimate songs or the more powerful ones. She left the audience begging for more.
She is very funny too by the way.

And considering Adele was 19 at the time she recorded the album, she should get added credit. Now at the ripe old age of 21, she's put out another excellent album.
...but it is Valentine's Day, I suppose.
such a pretty take on this song.
