The guitar sound is very similar to that of Donna the Buffalo, especially on the extended jam that RP plays at times.

Just saw these guys in a 160 year old church - Chalmers in Kingston - great live band.

I didn't notice any commentary here that was especially negative. It is a good tune, but it doesn't remind me of Bob Welch's material very much.
Wow!! So many negative comments about this song.......I think it has a solid melody and sounds great!!
The guitars are excellent, and tell me this doesn't remind you of early 1970's Fleetwood Mac with the late Bob Welch -

First listen - liking the new release from a great Canadian band. I like the production. Sounds like it was recorded right off the studio floor. Nice to hear some Canadian references in the lyrics as well.

Ewww!!! And it's got creepy eyes!
Why does the HD Slideshow always show pictures of those nasty lampreys every time a Great Lake Swimmers song comes on?
I know they're Great Lake swimmers but so are other assorted fishy's.

I like their more acoustic-y songs better; the guitar solo was good.

A grower, not a shower.
Agreed, more subdued.
First listen, but something is vastly different. Their sound has been flattened and turned bland. Did they change producers or lose a band member?
